Great snorkel, no leaks

Scuba diver but also competent Snorkeller, don’t use it diving but it serves well snorkelling and the clip works well. Only thing I would say that stopped it getting 5 stars is its mouth piece is a little large and sharp but only becomes a small issue if used for long periods of time and I’m quite small for reference. Great value for money.

Well I was not expecting a snorkel to be this good for £4.00. Its turned out to be the best I've ever had and used. Excellent all round.

I liked the price, but the snorkel is overdesigned. I bought it to replace my old snorkel as the mouthpiece had perished beyond further repair, it was over 30 years old. Why does a snorkel need a valve and what I guess is a splash guard. I found that by removing the guard at the top, it works better. As it has a silicon mushroom valve at the bottom, you can't really use it if you wish, like I prefer, displacement clearing. I went with SEAC as they are an Italian spearfishing/freediving specialist. The snorkel is made in China and is just the same as many of the other Chinese ones on the market. The simple J shaped, valveless design, such as Cressi-Sub, though almost three times the price, is in my opinion, far better.

This snorkel is good for basic activities in the water. It is made of decent quality plastic with a silicone mouthpiece which sits quite comfortably in your mouth. The purge valve is very basic - just a rubber piece that comes off a bit under pressure from the air you release. I have a feeling it may not last very long but we shall see. The dry system at the top designed to prevent water from coming in is just an angled piece of plastic. There's about 50% chance it will actually protect you from water from a wave or a splash. It won't if you dive or get covered by a wave. These are the reasons why I'm saying it's for more 'casual' snorkeling and when you dive you have to use the purge valve to get the water out. Nevertheless it is a well made snorkel that looks nice and has a clip to attach to a diving mask. The price could be a tiny bit less but it doesn't cost much anyway.
