First of all NONE of the tank backgrounds have adhesion. You have to use clear tape to stick them your tank. This one is VERY high quality, very nice color and easy to cut and tape on plus its very well priced. Buy this one if you want to be happy. I know, I had to send back the last one due to VERY poor packaging

My turtle’s set up is mostly all black, so I used the black as my turtle’s tank background. Makes everything else in the tank pop. The material is some sort of plastic, waterproof type, so no worries about getting it wet and damaging it. It’s not applied via adhesion, so I used tape, which is fine for me and it’s what I prefer anyway. Because what if one day I decide to use the blue instead? Not sure how my turtle feels about it but I’m sure she likes it.

This is not an adhesive but if done right works just as well. Ordered the largest size and was able to do both my 20g and 75g tanks. Measuring is easy. Measure the front of the tank and cut to width. After tape it to the front of your tank and trim the bottom. I did the 1 part water 1 part vinegar as well. Be sure you clean glass thoroughly. Apply generous amount of water/vinegar then cling and slide in place. Use a good hard edge and push water out starting from the top. May take a couple passes. If it unclings just lift spray again and repeat.

This will not cling to the glass well. Works well cut to size and taped at the corners. Order more for other tanks as its easy to remove for glass cleaning.

Agree with Daniel who also reviewed this product. Carefully trim length and width. I used a paper cutter, but you can just use sharp scissors as long as you’re careful to get a relatively straight edge. Make sure the outside back of your aquarium is clean—I cleaned with 50/50 water/vinegar spray. Make sure the background side you are applying is also free of dust/debris. Then, generously spray the 50/50 vinegar/water all over the back of your tank. Have a friend hold one side at one end of the tank, and you hold the other. Line up the top of the background with top edge of tank, and then gently lay flat against the glass. If it starts to pull away during this process, spray the glass more. Finally, use a good straight edge (I used the kind that comes with the cell phone glass protector kits) to smooth out all the bubbles from underneath. Done, and I didn’t even need to use tape (yet)! Perfect thickness (it’s not paper so don’t worry about getting wet), looks beautiful, easy to install with a buddy. If I ever need a background again, this is what I will be using.

Very cheap

I’ve used these backgrounds for decades. This one was no different. Trim and paste and it gives you a nice blue backing for your aquarium or whatever you’re using it for.

I followed the instructions, very simple. It kept bubbling up. I ended up having to use tiny pieces of duct tape to keep it attached. It does not fit my standard 10 gallon tank. I had to use the excess I trimmed from the bottom to cover the gaps on the sides. It isn't noticeable through the aquarium but it isn't what was described.

Bought this to put on my fish tank. Wanted a clean black look. Super easy install. Looks amazing. And in the future if I wanna switch colours it has blue on the other side

Worked really well, trying to get bubbles out, made some cuts on sheet, thats why im giving it 4 stars.

This background really punched out our aquarium fish, plants and scaping. I suggest cutting it to fit the top and bottom of the back of your aquarium. Then tape the top and cut the sides in place. The scissors run right down the sides of the tank. Easy to put in place. We chose to use the blue background which is quite dark but it really enhances our tank.

Love how it looks , but the flim started coming off after a month. I think it's my fault, how I fixed it. Will redo again and see.
