Worth it to me!!
Ok, my first, kitchen size grinder, and I was surprised. Works as advertised. Took longer to cut up the meat, to fit, than it did to grind it. Easy-to-use, and simple to clean. Went through 3lbs of ham in less time than it takes to describe. Recommended!

the photos are deceiving -- this grinder is a BEAST
My old grinder bit the dust last year. I thought I could get away with not replacing it, but I caught myself wanting to make a few recipes where a grinder would have made all the difference. I began looking for a replacement grinder and found the specs on this grinder were similar to the one I had. The photos made me think the grinder was smaller in size, so I placed the order. While I was surprised at the grinder's size (it's big), I was actually shocked at its performance. This Cuisinart grinder is a BEAST! We all know that meat is more easily ground while semi-frozen, but this grinder chewed through everything I put through it - chicken, ham, venison, and chewy cuts of roast. There was no hesitation and cleanup was a breeze every time.It comes with the regular selection of blades, but everything goes together and comes apart easily and all components are high quality.I'm so happy I found this grinder and highly recommend it for your meat grinding needs!

Great kitchen tool!!
This machine is a wonderful investment. It grinds meat flawlessly and quickly. Nothing better than a fresh brisket burger or beef sausages. I highly recommend this product for ease of use and cleaning. Easy to make fresh salmon burgers too!!

Perfect for small to medium batches
I had the burger trimmings from half of a cow elk and one deer to do, and ended up grinding about 30 pounds of hamburger with this grinder in about 2 hours. It worked great for this size project, the motor seemed powerful enough for the job. One thing - don't place even the all metal pieces in the dishwasher, as I found our when the feeder tray/tube came out with a different finish than when it went in! (The instructions say to wash by hand - my bad!)

A great grinder for a great price
I love this little grinder. It is my first one and the first time I’ve ever used one. We needed a grinder and this one by Cuisinart was on sale and caught my eye. After reading reviews, we ordered it without much grinding experience to go by. I had harvested, processed and butchered my first deer. We put a lot of meat away for the grinder and were ready to thaw some for some fresh ground venison to make a venison chili. Tips are to have grinder parts cold out of a freezer and your meat to not be fully thawed, but still a bit frozen. This makes grinding easier and is also easier on your grinder itself. As you can see I thawed the venison a bit too much, but the grinder had no problem. It does slow down a bit with the silver skin bits you see in the bowl in my photos. I did remove as much as I could, but know that some in ground venison isn’t too bad. It does gunk up the grinder plate a bit, so remove as much silver skin as you can. I’m not too sure how it would do with fat as my venison had nearly no fat. Assembly was simply and took about two minutes. Cleaning is super easy, the only part that was a bit difficult was inside the grinder itself where the meat goes through, but that’s to be expected. Seems sturdy and well-built. For something that will be used sparingly it should last a long time. Give your grinder a good life span and grind your meat for your dishes fresh. Don’t grind up all your meat and then freeze it. It keeps longer and better not ground and freshly ground venison can’t be beat. A good purchase for sure.

Little Powerhouse
This is a little powerhouse of a meat grinder. It size is perfect to fit in the closet until needed. I have had several meat grinders in the past (Kitchenaid and another) and it took all day to grind 20 pounds of meat. Used this grinder today and start to finish (meaning cleaned and put away) was only 3 hours! What a time saver. We grind cheap sirloin and cheap pork loin into "hamburger". With the meat on sale, made 20 pounds today for $2.50 a pound and 92%(ish) lean! I would highly recommend.

Exactly what I needed!
I bought this to grind my own chicken, as stores in my town don't seem to stock it. Easy to use and grinds a large supply very quickly. I had no problem with anything clogging. Fairly easy to clean. Be sure you hand wash the parts; don't put any of it in a dishwasher.

Deceptive advertising. It’s definitely not stainless steel.
Not stainless steel! Black stuff comes off on hands, towels and clothing when washing and drying. Nothing anyone should be ingesting. Cuisinart knows better. This is totally deceptive advertising.
