Idiyappam/Murukku/Farsan Sev/Pasta Maker Machine Brass

This was a terrific find. I make cheese straws which are cheese, butter and flour and your typical cookie press will not hold up. This is very solid and great to press more firm dough. I did have to combine it with a larger star pattern but I am very happy to find this. There is a multiple pattern slide which will fit this press.

I purchased this Idiyappam/Murukku/Farsan Sev/Pasta Maker Machine Brass maker with high hopes, but it has been a complete disappointment. Not only was the design unsafe (it actually cut my wife’s finger while we tested it), but the quality is shockingly poor. The plates arrived damaged, and the body of the machine is sharp, making it unsafe to handle. I regret this purchase completely. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a durable or safe kitchen tool. Poor Quality, Unsafe, Piece of Junk

I absolutely love this muruku maker! It’s sturdy, easy to use, and makes the process so much faster than the old manual way. The handles have a good grip, and the stainless steel body feels durable. I’ve tried multiple shapes — the discs are well-made and give perfect spirals every time. Cleaning is simple too — I just rinse and dry it immediately after use, and it still looks brand new after several rounds of murukku, chakli, and even idiyappam. If you enjoy making South Indian snacks at home, this is definitely worth buying. It’s a great mix of nostalgia and convenience!

Very Happy with my purchase ! Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but quality seems very good & the set has the Thengol / Thenkuzal Acchu / Disc which I like, but my only disappointment is that - it didn't come the 3 Star Disc as listed in the picture - the set still came with the 6 discs but instead of the 3 star ( which would have been great ) - it has a disc for Sev/Noodles of a different size.

Excellent, working very smooth. Just found a dent on tube, that I set myself. Rest is all perfect... 100% recommended to buyers.

Worked great for making sev. Just lookout for sharp metal shavings when you get it.

The item is made from thin-gauge brass that bends fairly easily under pressure. The plates are somewhat thin, and the piece could benefit from some deburring to smooth out the sharp edges. That said, a higher-quality press would naturally cost more, so the overall quality feels reasonable for the price.
