Clean, Affordable, Effective
This product was recommended by my ophthalmologist for dry eye brought on by cold, dry desert air. Flax, fish, and vitamin E oils. Super simple ingredients but so powerful! He said it’s the flax that’s actually the magical part. This and moist, gentle heat to physically unclog my oil ducts and my eye sight became clearer very quickly. Feels good to not be squirting eye drops all day. The softgels are super small and easy to swallow, tasting like nothing. No GI issues or "fishy burps" as they say, so that's a plus. Give it a few weeks to really kick in and you might be very pleased. Wishing you good eye health!

Soothed my dry eyes
My eyes were always gritty and burning from staring at my computer all day, and drops weren't cutting it anymore. Started this Omega 3 supplement after my optometrist recommended it for eye support. Two softgels a day with lunch, no fishy burps or stomach queasiness. After three weeks, the dryness eased up. I blink less and don't rub my eyes constantly. Tears feel more natural, and my vision's clearer by evening. Been on it a month, and it's a quiet fix that works without hassle. Easy to swallow, no aftertaste. Definitely helping my daily grind.

Crucial step towards getting relief from dry eye syndrome
I had severe dry eye syndrome for over a year which I sought help from 2 different doctors and neither diagnosed me correctly nor mentioned how taking this product could help. Ever the skeptic nurse, I thought all the advertised claims were just hype until I started reading other Amazon user reviews and realized I needed to get some of this ASAP. Meibomian gland dysfunction and evaporative dry eye is something I'm telling other sufferers about because I know I am not the only one finding diagnosis and treatment confusing and contradictory. I'd been a soft contact lens wearer without any infections, ulcers or other issues since 1978. I thought I'd be wearing my glasses permanently after 6 months of being unable to tolerate my contacts for even a few minutes due to pain and the feeling there was a foreign body in my eye every time I blinked. My dark circles were much darker, the skin around my eyes was dryer and consequently looked older. Make-up was a real chore to put on. I was losing eyelashes and they didn't seem to be growing back as quickly. Within 2 weeks of taking 3 of these capsules every day, the burning, scratchy feeling was gone. After a month I was completely asymptomatic but because I hate taking pills, I slacked off a bit. The dryness and burning returned in less than 10 days so I quickly re-ordered and will never be without these again. This is a syndrome and as such, requires consistent attention. While the Thera Tears took care of the internal problem, there is an external component to getting this chronic problem under control. Both the upper and lower lashline contains oil glands that get clogged and stop functioning or just don't work very well due to menopause, medications, age or all of the above. So here's my recipe for keeping the misery of dry eye at bay. It's important to be vigilant because symptoms return pretty quickly if you don't stay on top of things. 1. Thera Tears Nutrition, 1200mg Omega-3 Supplement Capsules, 90-Count ---every day no matter what 2. OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Plus, Pre-Moistened Pads, 30 Count another product I will not be without and am posting a review of those because you have to attack this externally as well. I tried the poor man's version first (tearless shampoo and cotton swabs) but it was inconvenient, messy, and very drying to my eyelids. 3. Elasto Gel Hot / Cold Sinus Mask soothing warmth feels so good, softens the oil glands in your eyelids 4. GenTeal Lubricant Eye Gel, Severe Dry Eye Relief, Extra Value, 2 Tubes (0.34 fl. oz) : gives moisture back to dry eyes and feels especially good if used with #3 Bottom line is I lost time from work, this is what helped me after prescription eye drops and ointments failed. I can comfortably wear my contacts whenever I want to, there's been no reocurrence of styes and my eyes just look a lot better.

It helps dry eyes
Helps dry eyes. My doc said it will take a while to notice any difference but I stopped taking it after 6 months. Then I noticed that it WAS helping my eyes. He said the omega 3 plus the flaxseed is what makes it work for dry eyes. I gave 4 stars because it does not cure dry eyes.

Mixed Experience with TheraTears Omega 3 Supplement - Decent Value, Unpleasant Flavor
I have had a mixed experience with the TheraTears 1200mg Omega 3 Supplement for Eye Nutrition. While it offers some benefits, there are a few drawbacks that cannot be ignored. Let's start with the flavor. Unfortunately, this supplement has a distinct fish oil taste that can leave you with an unpleasant aftertaste. It's no surprise that it can make you burp fish oil, which can be quite off-putting. While I understand that the taste is due to the organic flaxseed triglyceride fish oil content, it is still a significant drawback for those who are sensitive to such flavors. On the bright side, the value for money is commendable. The 90-count bottle provides a good supply of the supplement at a reasonable price point. Considering the benefits of omega-3s for eye nutrition, the cost-effectiveness of this product makes it a worthy investment. In terms of ease of swallowing, the TheraTears Omega 3 Supplement fares decently. The size of the capsules is manageable, and they go down smoothly with a glass of water. While they are not the smallest capsules on the market, they are still easy to swallow for most individuals. Overall, the TheraTears 1200mg Omega 3 Supplement for Eye Nutrition receives a three-star rating from me. The unpleasant flavor and fish oil burps are significant downsides that can make taking the supplement a less enjoyable experience. However, the value for money is good, and the ease of swallowing is acceptable. If you can tolerate the taste and are seeking an omega-3 supplement specifically for eye nutrition, this product may still be worth considering.
