I used to have the SanDisk usb sticks it kept on breaking and i lost all my files this happened to 3 different usb's until I found this one and it is so good! lasts forever! never ever again with sandisk.

Does not work on older machines with USB 2.0
I purchased this usb drive to get data off an old computer that has USB 2.0 on it. Granted, this old computer had not been formatted in many years and I'm pretty sure that was the issue. I do not have another older system to test on it. So don't let this be a Deal Breaker, this could be my fault. I had no problem getting it to work with my new computer with USB 3.0. Naturally the issue there is that it's slower. That is to be expected and I have no complaints thereUnless you keep this on a keychain or in a safe place, you can easily lose this drive. It's not as thick as the older ones. It's quite small actually. I ended up using this drive as a Recovery drive. Which was something I was gonna end up doing, so no loss.The price is Very good, no issue with the $9.99 I paid.There is no cover for the portion you insert in the computer. Be aware of this. I won't be touching this drive so it's no problemOverall, I'm happy with the purchase

Essential ICE drive
In these days of ransomeware, cybercrime etc, these are great. My recommendation: store your In Case of Emergency documents directly on the drive with no copies on your computer. Open Word and save only to the drive with you essential ICE information. Store birth certificates, medical directives, phone access instructions, and password manager instructions along with a passport and driver license and health card info directly on the drive. Give the drive to highly trusted folks who can use it in the event of an emergency. Do not keep the drive plugged in! If you have a partner, give a copy to your partner just in case and tailor the info to their trust level.

Not good product
I was exited to have a waterproof flash drive to back up some files during travel and not have to worry about it getting wet. First loading the files was incredibly slow. But well, I was willing to put up with that. But then, next day I wanted to upload some more files. BOTH memory sticks now say that I am unable to add or delete or change anything because the flash drives are miraculously 'read only'. I have no idea how in the world that happened, and on both flash drives. I have been unable to do anything else with them. Waste of time and money. I am very disappointed.
