Very very good and cooks as easy as any of the cook in bag meals. Not just very good for a freeze dried meal, very good period! This will become staple in my backpack and I'm a red blooded meateater.

Convenient and light-weight
I bought this when it was on manager's special and deeply discounted. The instructions work perfectly. I travel frequently and have these as back-up food or for when I have access to hot water but won't be able to wash dishes. This meal is flavorful but a little thin on the veggies. If the price were lower, I would but more.

My favorite
Seriously one of my favorite freeze dried meals when I backpack. Had this for the first time on a 6 day trek and wished I had bought more of the Santa Fe pasta. Cooks up quickly once the boiling water is in and it has fantastic flavor!
