My long, honest and detail filled review...WOW!
I have always been a fan of waxing and spent thousands of dollars over the years getting waxed professionally. My friend was going to cosmetology school during covid, so her classes were all online. Since she needed someone to work/practice on (me), I got to sit in on class and learn to wax too. Since then, I do it all on my own. In the beginning, I used whatever wax I was able to get, but I quickly learned and became a mega wax snob. My standards are sky high and I refuse to settle for junk! This arrived super quick after I placed my order. I was pretty shocked when I opened the box. This is a very large block of solid wax- it's not, nor was it ever in bead form. I assume it was formulated, made, melted and poured into this tin then solidified- and that's what we get. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but the problem is the fact they tin is thin and terribly flimsy. The thin card top doesn't lend much stability either. The packaging just can not hold this heavy mass of wax. It seems to be the quality of a food 'to go' tin, but it's the thinnest, flimsiest one I've ever seen. My lid was completely off and there were small chunks and bits all over the box (which Amazon packed without any sort of padding). I can't complain about the product, at all, but the packaging has got to go!Again, this is a large, solid block of wax. The whole thing isn't going to fit in one of the small (shifty) home wax machines. It will fit in a 5lb professional wax warmer, but probably not in the standard size pots or doubles. More likely than not, you will have to break off chunks as needed. Luckily, mine came broken in 4 large chunks already. One of the chunks was still a bit big, so I had to break it. Any job is easy with the right tools, so to break this I got a (new) flat head screwdriver and a hammer. I put the screwdriver head right in the center (and a plate underneath to catch any bits that fell off) and tapped it a bit with the hammer. The block broke pretty easy, and without many bits at all. I also tried to cut a block with a serated knife. This worked too, but there was a lot more fall out and it wasn't easy to hold the block and cut at the same time. The hammer and screwdriver is the way to go!This wax melts quite fast and pretty even, without needing to crank the temp. There's no smoke at all (cheep wax smokes!) and there is no stench of old wax or synthetic fragrance. This does have a clean, pure wax smell that is quite plesant. It also has an ever so slight (but noticeable) lavender hint that is natural smelling (not that cheep, fake, 99 Cent store stuff) and again, quite plesant. When the wax is fully melted, it is so incredibly creamy! It has this beautiful, thick but fluid texture that's indicative of a good quality wax. Even if you turn your temp a bit too high, this adjusts pretty quick. That delicious texture in the pot transfers to the skin well and it is SO EASY to lay down a nice, even strip of this that isn't too thick and not too thin. I'm not a professional (but I did get a good waxing education), and since I don't wax daily or even weekly, I'm still not great with laying down my strips. But this literally makes it SO EASY to get a fantastic application!Proof? Well, I do wax my daughters legs and when we were testing this she asked if she could try. I was curious how well she would do (after years of watching) so I gave her the green light. It took her a few applications to get the hang of it, but she soon was laying this down just as well as I could. She ended up finishing her legs herself! So, yeah...this makes it easy! Now I don't have/use the oil or any of the branded products that were recommended in the instructions. I do use unscented powder (like I always do) before application. This goes on super smooth, even when the wax is at a lower temp, so it doesn't burn or aggrivate the skin at all. We both have very sensative skin and haven't experienced a single issue (rash, bumps, skin aggravation, etc) from this wax.You have enough time to lay the wax down properly, so this doesn't harden immediately but it does dry pretty quick. It is just ever so slightly tacky- perfect for my liking as it allows for a quick and easy grab for removal. Now, if your strip is too thin or patchy (improper application) you will probably get some breakage, but with an even app, this comes off so super easy- nice and smooth and virtually pain free! This formula doesn't stick to the skin (even when the powder isn't really there anymore), but OMG! This stuff is a hair magnet! I can't get over how well this adhers to even the smallest, shortest and even finest pieces of hair! There's got to be something in this that is attracted to the protein in hair or something because I've never seen/used a wax that grabs the hair this well! It gets the short ones (that are not a grain of rice long), the baby fine ones and even the hairs that should have been trimmed down a bit more before the wax was laid. It basically gets them all, cutting clean up time in half (actually...by 70% at least!).I know it grosses some people out and some people love it (I'm the latter), but looking at the hair covered stripes, absolutely littered in stubby pieces of hair, sheath, bulb and all is SO SATISFYING! Especially because this doesn't leave patches (thanks to the easy application).I love it!This doesn't leave our sensative skin with bumps, red patches or rashes. It really is one of the most soothing waxes I've ever used.On top of the fact this works so well, I do think this is a professional grade wax (not just an Amazon seller claiming that, but truly the real deal). The price, which is a bit expensive, affirms that too. But with the clean ingredients, easy application and incredibly satisfying removal, I have to admit it is worth every flipping penny! The only thing I wish was different is the container! They have to do something about that because it really isn't working out well. Yes, I did have an issue, but luckily it wasn't terrible. I think this preforms so well though that I can't (and won't) deduct a star.

Good wax! Better than a lot of high end brands I’ve tried
I’m an at home DIY waxer and I’ve tried several different brands. I won’t claim to be any kind of professional who understands the ins and outs of wax, but I will say I am impressed with this wax. It melted thoroughly, went on well and allowed time to spread it before hardening too much. The Brazilian area is always sensitive, no wax is pain-free, but I do believe some waxes help and don’t feel like you’re ripping your soul away. This wax was pretty good in that realm. I waxed with it after a decent period of time having skipped and let hair grow in pretty well. As long as I prepped well, it worked great. There were a couple of spots I didn’t prep as well and I managed to get some skin layers. The wax didn’t harden too fast or break apart. A couple of times it took longer to harden than I needed but I guess that’s part of it sometimes. I tried to pull it too soon.I believe for the price, the quantity and quality of the wax is good. I’ve filled my tub up twice and still have plenty to last a while. I look forward to continuing to use it as I try to do better keeping up with my waxes.

effective
Has a medicinal smell, like a faint tiger balm. Not getting any lavender. I grow lavender and make lavender syrup so I’m pretty familiar with the smell.I have a small wax pot and usually use wax beads that make a soft, thick, opaque goo. I usually have to go over areas at least twice and it doesn’t usually grab finer hairs (like most of my leg hair). This is very thin and runny, and it’s brittle if you try to apply a thin coat. I found it helps to add another layer immediately after the first so I can pull it off in one piece. Initially I did a very thin layer and I was just picking off hard little pieces. This wax gets everything and if you have a lot of very fine, dense hairs it’s worse than ripping off a bandaid. I didn’t have a problem with my armpits at all but after testing my legs and a bit of my jawline I was done experimenting. When I took it off my jawline I’m pretty sure I saw my life flash before my eyes. I’m sure it says somewhere on here not to put it on your face but I didn’t read it and if I had I probably would have tried it anyway. It is messier than wax beads, since the consistency is thinner. There are drips and strings of wax all over and I was trying to be careful by spinning the stick over the pot for a couple seconds (letting it cool off and thicken up a teensy bit). It also leaves little bits of wax all over if you aren’t careful about the edges when you apply it. You want to keep the edges pretty thick. If they’re thin and transparent they won’t get picked up with the rest of the wax and it’s hard to get all the little pieces off.

Quality Wax, Positive Experience
This is my first experience with hard wax beads. I also received a mini wax melter that had wax beads included. These beads are far superior in removing hair when compared to the other. I didn't notice much of a lavender scent, but the wax is a deep dark purple. In the warmer they melted evenly and took about as long as expected. I waxed my husband's toe and my forearm, both times the hair was successfully removed. I just put the wax onto the skin with a tiny silicone spatual and then once the wax was dry I grabbed it and ripped it very assertively against the hair growth. The skin was a little red afterward, but we put a little oil on it for soothing purposes. Overall, I see why this product is a little more expensive; it is a more quality product and better waxing experience. 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.What my rating means:4.5 Stars: Very Satisfied with Minor Issues* The product is very good and meets almost all expectations.* It has very minor issues.* I would highly recommend it to others.5 Stars: Very Satisfied* The product is excellent and exceeds expectations.* It has no significant issues.* I would highly recommend it to others.
