This is a cool product. But it tended to make the space for the joist width too tight. Which made it hard to get the joists in the hangers.

I purchased two of these to put together a 20' x 24' deck with 2"x10" joists. The frame was in place and it took less than 1-1/2 hrs to put almost 100 hangers in place. It was a great time saver and tool is well built and easy to use. There were a few minor adjustments to some of the joists but overall it was a good purchase.

I've had this tool for a few months, and I just had the opportunity to use it. It helps to perfectly install 2x4 or 2x6 joist hangers. It's easy to use and definitely helps with correct positioning and aligning. I'll use it every time I install hangers from now on.

Did not work with 2x4 hangers, but it isn’t advertised as working with them so can’t fault it. Used it with 2x8 hangers and it worked very well. I don’t have a lot of experience with hanging joists so it takes me a while attaching blocks to the top of each joist. This tool allowed me to hang all the hangers first and then just put the joists in. As others have mentioned there is a slight learning curve, but even with that it is much faster for me. Highly recommend using the joist screws instead of nails for at least a couple holes so you can hold the tool in one hand and driver in the other to get it attached, then can finish up with nails if cheaper.

Made from questionable plastic. Designed to not last long. The idea of the product is great. Would get 5 stars if the company would use metal materials and build a durable product. For the price I'm thinking I'll be returning it because I don't see it being able to withstand dropping it more than once or twice.

This Product is fantastic. It cut my installation time at least in half. It doesn't seem to be extremely durable if you're going to use it every day but I installed 100 joist hangers in just a couple hours and performed quite well.
