Essential easy-reading myth busting advice
I found this book entertaining, informative and extremely well-written. The author busted a number of myths that I kinda believed in. Thank you for that! And has reinforced that, in order to live a longer, healthier and happier life, it really is worth the effort to exercise in whatever way we can. His last words say it all: “Make exercise necessary and fun. Do mostly cardio, but also some weights. Some is better than none. Keep it up as you age.”

Mind opening
This book is a must-read for everyone no matter the age as this explains how our human bodies are designed and evolved to do. Which provides us with a basic understanding of what things we can add to our daily lives to make us stronger and better in a healthier way. Helps us debunk a lot of the myths about the body, exercise, sleep, and mental state of mind.

Easy to read, enjoyable, and I learned a lot
I really enjoyed this book - such an easy and conversational writing style, and a lot of compassion for those of us who don't exercise as much as we know we should. The science is explained exceptionally well. I felt the author's love of the people in traditional societies from whom he has learned so much, and now shares with readers. It's also inspired me to start running again.

Interesting, too loose with data
There's a lot of interesting things in the book, especially the more anatomical material and the case studies. But the author has a bad habit of presenting results from observational studies (i.e. "risk factors") as being causal (albeit implicitly); doing so is common in the empirical health literature, but that doesn't make it any less misleading. The author also warns against over-emphasizing the role of inflammation, and then proceeds to blame *everything* on inflammation.

Excellent book on how exercise impacts cognitive and physical health
The author is one of our nation’s top experts on the benefits of exercise. He has spent much of his life traveling the world studying exercise ‘s many benefits. Well worth the investment!

Well researched.
Quite an intensive and in depth delving into the exercise for the human body. Could be sectioned better to direct the reader to original revelations, by the sughor

Interesting findings
The typical chapter is plenty of redundant stories, however I found worth a couple of things for which I have valued this book pretty highly:1. A different perspective on movimento and physical activity: things are presented from an anthropologic standpoint which explains way more then some technical essay can do;2. Findings and how to improve movement: core findings (i.e. humans are lazy for biologica reasons) and insights (i.e. physical activity has to be both fun and perceived as necessary to become an habit) come in a fresh fashion

Exercised : the Sience of Physical Activity by Daniel Lieberman
Zeer goed boek.

Compré este libro después de leerme su primer libro: The Story of the Human Body: Evolution, Health, and Disease.
