Pink Teavana Perfectea Maker: 16oz

I had read that there are "knock off" versions of Teavana's Perfectea Maker that look authentic, but they do NOT have the Teavana logo on the base or on the tea maker. I saw several like that when looking online, so I made sure that the item I ordered showed the official Teavana logo on the tea maker. My tea maker arrived in a box that was labelled as "Teavana," but there is NO Teavana logo on the tea maker or its base. My old Teavana tea maker, which I purchased at a Teavana retail store, DOES have logos on both the base and the tea maker. While I am disappointed that my new tea maker does not appear to be an authentic Teavana product, I have found no difference in its operation from my original model, so I am satisfied for now.

Perfect device for making one cup of tea. Simply add the loose tea leaves (could also be used with bagged tea) and the hot water, let it steep for the desired amount of time. When finished, set the tea maker right over your cup and watch the tea drain into the cup. Very well designed, the pink is really pretty and works wonderful. Gave it as a gift to a friend and she makes tea daily. No problems at all, very easy to clean. Has a plastic tray under it in case the tea leaks, the surface is protected. I have never seen it leak, ever. My son has one in gray and has been using it two or more times daily for three years.

This works great for loose tea and larger ground coffee. (Don't use espresso - it's too powdery!) Put the tea (or coffee) in the top part over the mesh filter, add hot water, and let it steep for a while. Place the whole thing on top of your cup. When your cup pushes the bottom part in, it lets the tea (or coffee) out of the bottom into your cup.Make sure you picked a large enough cup. Really. This thing won't stop just because the tea (or coffee) hit the bottom of the tea maker. Nope. It's not a perfect seal, and you'll have tasty liquid all over your counter/chair/table/book that you'll now have to clean up.Speaking of cleaning - dump the tea leaves (or coffee grounds) into the sink and rinse out the container. You can pop out the mesh filter to clean it too. I've washed this in the dishwasher (top rack - no drying heat - regular, not super, hot water) and it comes out just fine.And now I'm thirsty. Sorry - gotta go and brew a cuppa!

I've owned 2 of these from Teavana prior. The hinge broke on one and part of the draining mechanism under the filter snapped off when trying to clean (this one was my fault). Needed a replacement and these are getting harder to find. We use our's every day and find it easier than other loose leave methods. It doesn't work well for any oversize cups as the rim has to fit under where it drains, otherwise you have to use your fingers and risk getting hot liquid on you. There is no branding on it but functions and looks the same as the other one it replaced. This one has a tighter hinge than the others I've used.

I LOVE this thing! I got my first one from a Teavana outlet near my hometown years ago but that particular one has gone out of business. I kept it at work and it was always showtime for this conversation piece whenever I made my daily tea. Left some tea leaves in it over one weekend and it molded so I needed a new one. Love the color and I am sure to clean this one out after every use. Cleaning is relatively easy, just a few rinses, but be sure you loosely pack some paper towels in it and set it upside down so all of the water can drain out to prevent mold and mildew.

I got this for a loved one who hates using tools loose leaf tea, but loves good quality tea. I was first surprised that it was pink, and realized I failed to notice the first word in the title lol. Thankfully, that was the only problem I came across, and it was on me!It is surprisingly easy to clean, and so far, we haven't had any issues with staining. It's a simple product that works exactly as it should. You really can't ask for more.

My old Teavana teamaker eventually developed cracks in the plastic and died and I couldn't find another one I liked. Since the Teavana stores are now defunct, I was worried about getting a new one. I was thrilled to find these. It is better than the old one as the lid will come off for cleaning. I put tea in a thermos every morning before work and this works great to get the tea in without spilling and splashing it everywhere.

I absolutely love this product...... My daughter and I use it daily to make fresh loose leaf teas! easy to use..... have bought this item numerous times as gifts for friends, family and most recently for teachers.. I also like to add their names with my cricut , makes a wonderful gift!! One of my must have items!!
