Pottery Plaster - 5kg Bag - Ceramics, Slip Casting, Pottery Moulds

This is excellent pottery plaster - the same brand as sold by specialist pottery retailers. It's reliable, smooth and sound. But what's great about this retailer is the 5kg bags. (Note that if you order 10kg you will get 2 5kg bags.) I know it's not as cost effective as buying in 25kg bags, and the 5kg bags are made of plastic rather than paper. But if, like me, you can't lift a 25kg bag, or if you are only making small things, this is a great product for you. I love that the 5kg bag has a ziplock reseal and is stiff enough to stand up by itself and pour the plaster straight into my measuring bowl from the bag. Buying in the smaller bags has meant I can use the same specialist product without having to get one of my sons to haul it around for me. And if you like making big projects, it saves measuring time - if I need 6kg of plaster I put in one bag and only have to measure out the extra kg. Have now ordered 30kg in the 5kg bags and for me the extra cost is worth it!

Made a couple of moulds and found the product to be excellent.

A good standard pottery plaster, works well . Must be stored airtight ( plastic tub) otherwise it will take in moisture and go off in a few weeks.

First time of ever using this product, which we bought to make a drying out slab for recycling clay. Worth noting, if you've not used it before either... it sets VERY quickly. We hadn't realised. Great product though. Certainly happy to recommend.

I have tried the plaster,it is perfect for purpose. I made some moulds for slip casting.The plaster was in good condition.
