Having started to replace all my incandescent bulbs with energy saving fluorescent tubes when they first appeared on the scene I was subsequently disappointed with their supposed relative brightness compared with their incandescent ‘equivalents’. And as they aged, so their brightness seemed to diminish.The light in one room, where we like to play table top games and the ability to distinguish colours often plays an important part, was particularly poor. In fact when we played games I would substitute a 100w incandescent bulb for the 13w fluorescent tube, which really emphasised how poor the tube was.When I found these LED bulbs I thought they might be worth trying, and I’m glad I did. One of these in the ‘games’ room proved to be easily as bright as a 100w incandescent bulb, and far superior to the fluorescent tube.Only time will tell of their longevity or continued brightness, but so far so good!PS, anyone wants to buy 2 dozen bayonet fit fluorescent tubes... 😏

First of all these bulbs look great and feel well made.The warm version gives a beautiful, bright yet soft light similar to the old 100w filament bulbs.Warm lights have far less blue than the daylight versions, which can damage the eyes over the years.All our LED lights are warm, and, incidentally, I always use the eye protection setting on our computers for the same reason.There's no delay when switching the lights on.As for longevity, too soon to say. None of the LED lights we've bought over last ten years have failed.At 14w they are far more economical than filament bulbs.

Absolutely brilliant bulbs, I've searched hi and low for a good decent bright bulb without that terrible blue fridge glow. These bulbs are what we've all been missing since the introduction of led etc so if it's good lighting without the glare then these are the bulbs to buy.

I changed all my energy saving light bulbs for these on the recommendation of a friend as I was fed up with the poor light from the others, however bright they were supposed to be. What a difference! Absolutely brilliant light and the bulbs are a nice “bulb” shape, not all twisted or tubes hanging down. And the bonus is they were cheaper than the others too. As for longevity, I don’t know yet but are supposed to last for 1500 hours.

This was my second attempt to purchase bayonet fitting LEDs to replace first generation "energy efficient" neon-tubed bulbs. I wanted better light, a faster arrival at full illumination and better efficiency. Amazon sent screw fit bulbs at the forst attempt, depite the description in the order. These Lepro bulbs arribed quickly and seem to be the answer to our needs. Cannot address longevity as they have only been in service for a few days but I have installed 3 so far and they have behaved flawlessly.
