Looks great! I already like the design with the flat back to attach to the fence. It’s very sturdy and well made and a great price. The hole on the bottom is a little big so it won’t work for the young ones but it should work just fine for my bigger birds. Haven’t had to use it yet, I bought it in preparation for putting my crippled girl down since I don’t know how long her leg with a slipped tendon will support her.

I was very pleased with the quality of this cone. The edges are all folded over so nothing is sharp. However, it is a little on the short side, and if you hang it like I prefer, it dangles at an angle. So the first rooster we put in there kicked himself right out the back. I had to chase down a headless rooster. If you mount it on something so it hangs flat I think it would be fine, but it is a bummer to have it shorter and be limited in use. Our other killing cones are longer and don't have this issue. The one I bought was the perfect size for regular roosters, even my smaller banties didn't fall through the opening, tho it was close. Other than it being a little short, the rest of the cone was well made.

What I did like. The opening for the head was great, easy to get ahold of the chicken.What I did not like. The wide body of the cone let the chickens get their feet down to their head very easily. In order to overcome this, I had to bend the cones in .It could also be the good feature of having a wide hole for grabbing their heads also gives them easy access to get their feet down there as well.The chickens were approx 4 pds, so this may work well with larger chickens, such as Jersey Giants, or small turkeys.

Harvesting some mean roosters, it was so much easier than the snapping their necks like Grandma did! But she did make it look easy.
