Comtim Pet Food Can Cover/Silicone Can Lids for Dog and Cat Food, Blue/Orange

Bought these thinking they would fit the most common sizes of tins, they fit the smaller-sized cylinder cans great, however, they do not fit the shorter stumpy cans. Still great value, just be aware that if you buy the big cans as a money saver, these are not the can lids you're after.

I have no idea why this product has so many good reviews. They are a hassle to put on a standard can, all the different size rings of silicone are tightly squished together, so you smush the lid over the open can until it settles into a ring and then you have to lift the can up and look underneath to make sure it's really sealed, or it will leak. It sometimes leaks when knocked over anyway. Compare that to two cheap hard plastic lids that make a 'snap' sound when they lock on, had them for years, they don't leak at all, and it is the work of a second to snap them on rather than fussing to make sure they are REALLY on. I use them for canned coconut milk a lot, and when camping in a cooler full of half-melted ice, so they really need to not leak! I want more of those. These are not it. Don't buy them.

REVIEW UPDATED APRIL 1, 2019: Seller was kind enough to reach out to me and send a new set of these easy-to-use lids. Unlike before, these lids fit well and seal well. The colors are really pretty. My images show lids used on two can sizes. The Fancy Feast cat food can is 3 ounces, and the Wellness dog food can is 13.2 ounces. Seller description, I believe, includes a 5-ounce can as well.I feel confident that the soft seal will keep my pet foods freshly protected in the fridge for 2 to 3 days. Additionally, I expect that these silicone lids will last much longer than the hard plastic ones I previously purchased at the grocery store, which makes this an economical purchase in the long run.

As of this date, March/April 2019: This company reached out to me(!) to correct an issue I had with the fit of their lids for small cat food cans (primarily Fancy Feast cans). Well, they recently changed the mold for the silicone lids and they NOW fit perfectly and with a snug fit that you can "feel" the suction to the can. It is very easily removed and softly snaps onto can. It's just right! I am impressed they did this and feel they show they care for their customers. I highly recommend this product, especially for the smaller cans. The lids are also an excellent fit for regular size cat food cans (like tuna fish cans). If you have purchased these in the past and were disappointed in the fit, please give them a second chance. They really did fix the lids. Thank you.

First off, I haven't bought lids for cans of cat food in 30 years. The last time I did they were some kind of hard plastic and they always, always, always cracked quickly. These modern ones are silicone and obviously don't crack. They are made to fit a variety of can sizes but since I only buy the normal Friskies/9 Lives sized cans I can only comment on how they fit those...and they fit those perfectly.In other words, these are great. Perfect. They do exactly what I bought them for. They work all sorts of better than a quick rip of aluminum foil, which never seals 100% for me and makes my 'fridge smell like "Ocean Buffet with Cat Butt" for a day or two. Hey, cat likes that scent and flavor, I am not a fan.Which leads me to the ratings I was asked for - flavor, values, and scent. I just tasted one and it tastes like nothing, as expected, so 5 stars. Value for the money? Yep, no complaints. Now scent. HOOah, Al Pacino would say. These smell like...wait for it...silicone. Until you toss 'em in the dishwasher a few times and then they smell like silicone and detergent.I hope my review helps someone dealing with the challenge of "Do I buy some inexpensive cat food can lids or not." In my opinion, buy them.In all seriousness these are good stuff
