These worked great for my holiday lighting project (see photo -- light-up monkey!). I cut it down to size, I use the remote, all great. It's not really worth a whole star off imo, but the one nit I had with these was that the adhesive backing was not very sticky. I was sticking it to aluminum, and I ended up needing several zip ties to keep it in place. Still, I'd buy it again.

It should be noted that I just got these so basing this review on my initial usage. Very easy to set up but it would be nice if a manual was included on how to mix colors and change the remote settings. I was able to use the adhesive to put it on the back of my TV and didn't need connectors for the corners. I just sort of did it at an angle, I wasn't too concerned with it being perfect.One weird thing is that I have a Vizio sound bar and the remote for the LEDs also controls the sound bar. So I have to have the LED remote near to the lights because otherwise it controls the sound bar.

I was pretty disappointed in these. I put these up for a long open closet space. I liked the aspect of having different colors but also wanted the use of just white. However the white isn't really white, it is a blue tone and there is a red and green that oddly shows. These are bright but there is a slight strobing and when I have it on any color there is this weird thing of other colors showing like a flash out of the corner of my eyes, hard to explain. The adhesive is not very good, in some areas I had to use electrical tape to keep it to stay up. Even still it started to fall off. The remote has to be aimed right at the box to get it to work well. Also had some lights that, especially when bent, showed a totally different color then the one selected. Which btw there was no instructions to explain the massive options on the remote. NOT going to ever buy these again and in the end take them down and give them to my college aged son to do with them as he wants. So not pleased but I took a shot since they did have decent reviews but alas, not so great in my opinion. Will go buy another brand of plain warm white I have a strip of and stick with those since I know they are of good quality. Bummed but oh well.

You get what you pay for is quite true. The LEDs are very high quality and I couldn't be more impressed. However, the adhesive strip on the back of these are not even worth using. They are not that tacky at all and I was forced to use Mounting Clips  Alightings Strip Light Mounting Bracket Clip for Outdoor Silicone Covered 10mm Wide PCB Waterproof SMD5050 LED Strips (Pack of 100)  to properly secure these. With the combination of the mounting clips I'm 100% happy with the installed product. However, the effects leave a lot to be desired, as such you cannot pick to fade just 1 solid color, all the effects come pre-programmed. But this is the limitation of the controller and I'm sure other controllers would provide a better experience.

I've had to reconnect the connector box to the light strip several times now. I believe one of the wires was crimped near the RGB controller box and now randomly goes out. Not very happy considering I've only had the product out of it's box for about 20 minutes. The lights and remote work well (for about 5 minutes) once I reconnect the wire from the box.Edit: Alright guys, I've had this product now for about a month and a half. I wish that I could write something different. The strip will not turn on at all, no matter the amount of jiggling the cord to the box. I've lowered the rating to one star for a couple of reasons: the seller has not contacted me once, the lights have randomly cut off in the time that I've had it, and even the 3M adhesive was weak out of the box. I will likely be ordering another product within the next day. To anyone considering this product, I wish you the best of luck.

These things are amazing. And are waterproof with a thick clear silicon coating over the lights. I mounted them on the back of my office desk and they look incredible. Excellent ambient lighting for about 20$. Can't beat this. I find myself Imagining all the applications for this. Deck lighting, kitchen baseboard accenting, holiday lighting and everything in between. Also a real conversation starter.

The lights are great! They are bright and have a wide spectrum of colors. My only complaint is that the adhesive did not take well to the back of my TV. Also, if you plan on turning a corner you will want a corner connector for that.

Note the little 4 prong plug will fit both ways, but it will only work one way. So just flip it and re-connect if it doesn't light up for you the first time.
