I pulled the saw out of the box and installed the blade, which was easy. Then I tried cutting 1/4 steel and it cut it like butter. I purchased a dewalt chop saw for this job but it really didn’t work at all and I even purchased an expensive blade for it but it would not cut it. I cut 4 cuts through 4” x 1/4” steel in probably less than 5 minutes. This saw is a beast! I would definitely recommend it. I don’t know how long it will last but I don’t cut metal often so I’m guessing this will be something I have for a long time. I’m extremely happy with the purchase and the price.

1. The person who thought they needed to cut off the handle for the angle adjustment did not realize that its a spring loaded handle that you can just simply pull up and move out of the way after tightening the bolt. 2. It's clearly a simple and inexpensive solution, but it works real well. I only have 2 projects with a lot of aluminum profiles to cut - and this is a HUGE time saver while also being very accurate for the cuts. 3. This is not a portable - battery operated tool 4. it is annoying that the power cord is in the front as well that the saw cuts towards the user (front) It would have been a whole lot better if the cord was in the rear and if it would cut the opposite direction (pressure of the cut away from the user and flush to the back plate. For the money - all is great. It works very effectively for incidental use, where purchasing a more "professional" system would not make sense

Pros...Solid with very good quality. You get 2 blades that are course and cut quick. Variable speed is very nice. Very portable Cons...instructions on how to set up suck...glad im mechanically inclined. No constant on...for safety I guess.

I wasn't expecting much of this because of the price but I was surprised. Now I'm only cutting some pretty thin material about 2 mm square tubing but this thing did not struggle at all and makes a beautiful cut. Feels quite heavy duty actually considering the price. I wouldn't say that the angle adjustment is super accurate but that's to be expected with something in this price range. I wish it would tip upright a little more it feels like it might not stay up on its own after a while but I'm sure I can modify it to accommodate that. Excellent purchase for the price! Makes a damn clean cut compared to an abrasive saw

This is a fantastic bandsaw! I'm new to metal working, and bought this to help with outfitting and repairing my 4x4 truck for off road. Cutting metal with an angle grinder is 'ok', and I still do it when needed, but the smoke, sparks, and noise are just plain annoying, and can be dangerous. I'm building rock sliders for my truck and I needed to cut 1.75 x .120 wall DOM (round) tubing on 45 degree angles. This saw makes it easy, and cuts very accurately and cleanly in a short amount of time. And it's really quiet compared to other saws. It's lightweight, well made, inexpensive, and easy to set angles and secure the work. The cutting range is impressive for its size. The LED light is very bright and a real bonus! Additionally, it can be detached from the base for portable use.

Good for the price, vevor seems to make quality products. The blade was kind of hard to install at first l, but i finally got it. I like the fact that this saw has variable speed and id lightweight, but seems solidly built. I think this saw will come in handy mounted to a base to use for my knife making.

I’m really pleased with this saw and the stand. It does its job well, was easy to set up, and so far I’d have to say it’s well built. The stand is a bit thin, except at the mounting points and the clamp points, which are the important parts anyway. The blade has worked fine for mild steel, but I’ll soon replace it with a better blade. I agree with some other reviewers that it’s weird the power cable comes out where it does in the stand, but handheld it makes sense so the designers had to make a choice, which I assume they leaned on the handheld use case. I’d agree, since when mounted I can easily zip-tie it out of the way, but handheld and mobile It would be harder to manage from the other end. I like it, it was inexpensive, and it’ll do the home shop work I need it to.

I have not used this band saw very often, over the last 3 years. I am still using the 1st blade. I sawed PVC pipe, wood and steel with this saw. In my opinion it is a good saw for its limitations. Those limitations are the size of objects able to cut, while attached to the base. It would have been nicer if it was a little wider in its cut width. It can't cut a 4" schedule 40 PVC pipe. If separated from its base, it would be much more versital. I didn't do that because I wanted a bandsaw and a base. Once off the base, the cut is not as accurate, inherent with these types of saws, not a fault.

Vevor never disappoints. Great stuff, the saw is everything it is supposed to be. Well made and 2 months in, it has done a fair bit of work and I'm happy I went with Vevor again. This is my third Vevor purchase and will definitely buy Vevor again.
