I needed to replace my gasket and this worked great! It was easy to use for a first timer like me. The Gasket seems like a good quality and there isn’t anymore smoke coming through the wood box. The adhesive seems to be holding firmly.

More than enough gasket material. Put on very easily. Perfect fit.

This rope gasket worked very well. Just be prepared to work fast when you get ready to install it.

The door gasket and adhesive gasket installation kit is of high quality and I recommend it. I wire brushed the existing gasket and removed all old loose rust and residue on the inside of the door. I wiped down the inside of the door with rubbing alcohol and spray painted the entire door with BBQ paint. The gasket is like a finely braided nylon rope very flexible and adhered to the newly painted cast iron door without any trouble. I suggest wearing some nitrile or latex gloves for easy cleanup. A great product but be sure to prep the metal.

This is exactly what I needed. I have ordered one other brand before, and the adhesive was dried up in the tube, so I was a little concerned I would have the same problem, but it worked out great. Plenty of gasket material, so had enough to do the top and bottom doors. Paid less for this brand than the other, and it was so easy to work with. Haven’t started a fire yet, but am confident the seal will work out well.

Excellent product. Was easy to install. The cord cuts easily and cleanly with a knife, I wrapped the cut ends with self adhesive Aluminium tape to prevent them from fraying out (my 9 year old original cord did fray out over the years). The included black glue is of the higher temperature rating type. I have hopes this will last me another 9 years.
