Excellent
So far, I like these shoes. I've only been wearing them for three days (as of today, June 5th, 2014) so they are not broken in yet. As a result they cause my big toes to hurt because the tops of the shoes are very sturdy and haven't adjusted to the shape of my feet yet. Other than that, they are great shoes.I am a chef in a very busy restaurant so I needed lightweight yet durable shoes that also provided non-slip soles and these shoes are exactly what I was looking for. They are truly non-slip, which is GREAT, and on top of it all they are 'smart' looking as well. That was how another chef described them to me when he made a comment about them.I had first bought a pair of the 'Nautilus Men's Skidbuster 110 Slip Resistant Slip-on' shoes but they are very heavy and something in the steel toes of the Nautilus shoes was causing my toes to go completely numb. Like - DEAD numb. So I threw them away and bought these.I am happy with these Sketchers and I'm pretty sure would have given them 5 stars if this request for a review had come later on after I've broken them in. I recommend these over the Nautilus brand for certain.*Update* August 29, 2014 - The shoes are well broken in now and are so very comfortable. They are still holding strong and looking great which is surprising considering that I work hard and fast in them 14 hours a day, 6 days a week (and sometimes 7). I HIGHLY recommend these shoes and when the time comes for me to need another pair, I will certainly purchase these again. I am changing my rating to five stars.

Great shoe, as always
They aren't exactly what I wanted (I wanted something exactly like my previous pair of Skechers, but apparently they don't make anything like them any more), but they're still excellent for what they are. I like the way you can just barely see the side of the outsole when viewed from above as normal. I can't stand shoes where the sides of the outsole come half way up the side of the shoe. They look ridiculous to me. What I was hoping for was that the insole was equally thin, but I don't think Skechers makes a shoe without memory foam or whatever they call it. Still, it's infinitely more comfortable than the Walmart pair I bought. They had memory foam too, but it was just way too squishy and not at all ergonomic. The other thing I was looking for was a wide opening so that it's really easy to slip on like my last pair, but like I said, I don't think they make anything like that. So these will suffice. I've pretty much come to realize, you can't really go wrong with Skechers. If you love the look, you're probably going to love them.

Good shoes for the price and conmfy
I know a lot of people complain that these shoes are too snug but for me it's the opposite. I have skinny feet and ankles. The two box fits well on me but as it goes up, it gets very loose around the ankle. I can easily fit all my fingers down and around the side of my foot and along the top of my foot. I think for me the lace up version would be preferred and is what I have used for years but I wanted to give these a try. They look a bit more formal then the lace up version. The feel of the inside sole and arch support is pretty much identical. Plenty of cushioning in the heel for me to wear all day on or off my feet. Considering I spend most of my time walking around in minimalist shoes, these are like putting my feet in a cloud. I can't say the same for others. These shoes usually take about a week or two to get nicely broken in, they start of a bit stiff.

Sturdy build. Great fit
Sturdy build. Great fit. Comfy for a 10 hour shift standing. Wipes clean except near the stitching. No slippage until all the ridges get full of flower and other stuff, which leads me to my main question: Seriously, Sketchers, why all the tiny "S" ridges? Why must you put thousands of tiny S's on the bottom that are just big enough for stuff to get in, and just small enough to make it a chore for me to get it out? I work in a kitchen full time, and its really annoying to have to clean out these shoes every night with a utensil of some kind or knock them around to shake out all the gunk. I'll put up with them because they don't look like some ratchet crocs, but holy god fire that person who said that would be cool. It ultimately can defeat the purpose of the shoe entirely.

One of the best pair of shoes EVER - and
One of the best pair of shoes EVER - and, I'm almost 70! I bought these shoes 3 years ago. I wear them all the time - for work and non-work activities. They fit well and I can wear them with my black tux. What? With a tux? Well, they're black so they don't call attention to themselves. I needed shoes that fit well, were conservative, and I could wear them with about anything. These are them. :-) I can wear them for daily activity and work - they go well in the classroom. I can wear them when I walk a mile or two with my disabled dog. They have good arch support and for me, they are an all-around shoe. They're comfortable and even after 3 years of usage, they show little sign of wear.

Durable and Comfortable
I have had these shoes for about three months now which is about the life limit for many shoes that I have purchased. They seem to be holding up quite well in a five day a week commercial kitchen environment. They were a bit snug at10.5 when first worn, but have broken in nicely. Most shoes stretch so much as to become almost unwearable and unstable, these have not. They have held up well to the harsh chemicals used on the floors which is usually the cause for the upper part of the shoe to separate from the sole. The soles show practically no sign of wear. I would recommend these shoes.

2nd pair and still damaged
I usually don't write reviews I only give stars ratings. I love sketches but this type/style of shoes are the worst. First pair I ordered came damaged, it wasn't sawed on one of the sides. So I returned them and immediately got another pair. 3 weeks after my second one bursts open from the same side which I thought was weird. I can't return it now, so no I do not recommend this shoes "for work".
