It arrived on time and well packaged. The overall quality, weight and size are very good. The grip is comfortable, and functions well but the balance is further forward than I expected. It is still fairly easy to wield. It's a very impressive weapon and is good value for the money.

Well made and it is sharp out of the box. Just tonight I was checking it... okay playing with it (clue...don't do what I did) by tapping it lightly against the heavy rubber knuckles of the tactical gloves I was wearing. believing that if I missed and hit the less armored section of the glove it was thick enough to protect me from cuts. Well I did miss. And... the glove did not protect me from a cut. Straight through the glove and into the back of my hand and into the veins located there. Now mind you... this was a very light tap and there was no draw for the cut. it just chopped. Lots of dark red blood, some cleaning of the bathroom,,,,,,,,,,,, and finally pulling together the side of the cut with bandages.... This long seax is sharp. Well balanced,and effective. I am still unsure of the durability of the stainless blade I bought. But I would be very confident in the design of the blade for defending myself. I love it. Especially since it has now been blooded....

Razor sharp…. Im telling you RAZOR sharp. Be very careful removing it from the sheath it almost cut the leather handle holder part clean off just by touching it. Great metal and handle. I can’t imagine getting a better one. Looks exactly like the photo. I have never had anything this sharp. Well worth the money whatever I paid for it. I attach it to my bike.

It's an amazing blade. Would be nice to give a good review with further experience but mine was stolen. But I will be buying another.

I love this manufacturer. Honshu is top notch. This thing, at its tip, is so sharp it'll cut you with little to no effort. Amazing. It needs nothing but oil to preserve its current state. Having said that folks, it is also easily bent. Please. Use caution. This product deserves its own shelf in any collection. Novice to Avid (Historical) Collections. Cheers everyone. Chewy.

This product would have gotten five stars if not for a single flaw relating to the sheath. The blade itself is made of steel that I could find almost nothing on during the initial research phase. Despite this, I still believe that the video which accompanies this product tells the honest truth, as I have seen the sturdiness of the blade myself. In particular, the tip itself is needle sharp and leads to a suitably sharp edge which was able to bisect the box it came in with ease. The handle also feels well put together and I have absolutely no complaints regarding that. The sheath is where the only problem relating to this sword reveals itself. While the composition of the sheath is sturdy stacked leather and feels very well put together, it is the clasp that I find issue with. Repeatedly, I attempted to fasten the clasp to the handle in an expedient manner, but found it exceedingly difficult to consecutively succeed in this task. I am of the belief that it was not sized correctly. Beyond this, the clasp itself seem unnecessary, as I was able to hold sheathed blade upside down without it slipping out. Therefore, this clasp is useless at best and potentially obstructive to tactical application of the blade at worst. I would advise removal. In conclusion, this is a good product for the money and anyone shopping for swords would not be disappointed in this purchase.

this came with a really bent tip

I collect knives and swords. This is now my favorite sword. It is a little tip heavey. It is however swing able and I trust it to actually be used.
