Powered-on and automatically recognised by GW2000.
Nice, I'll be able to track temperatures in different areas of my house, with weather station, for summer cooling and warming trends, and winter cooling and warning trends. I'm experimenting with different cooling ideas this summer, and this may show me which works better.

Nice add on
Having just bought my Ecowitt HP2564 weather station I was keen to expand the functionality inside the house with further temp / humidity sensors so I can monitor these values around the house. These are really easy to install. Just add batteries and at the same time set the 'jumpers' to which channel number you require and your preference for measurement in F or C. Screw a small screw into the wall (provided, the screw not the wall) and attach using the keyhole on the back and off you go. My HP2560 display picks up the new 'channel' immediately and includes it when auto scrolling through. Job done, no faffing, which suits me fine.

Additional sensor
I bought this as an additional sensor for my Watson WS8686 weather station and it works perfectly. Easy to set up, just use the switches to select channel and C or F put the batteries in and you're done, console automatically connects to sensor. If you don't have a compatible weather station you will need an Ecowitt wireless gateway to view on your phone and the WH32 to post to weather sites as most sites other than Ecowitt.net don't show data from additional sensors.

Best digital thermometer/hygrometer on the market bar none
30 months ago I purchased from Germany the HP1000SE PRO Froggit Weather Station which I can't recommend too highly. At that date the Ecowitt (Chinese made) was not available in the UK. It was climate change and the effect of less Summer rain on my vegetable garden that drove me to make the purchase but I am in construction so weather has always been more important to me than News. I bought two more of these (I had three, one in the Greenhouse, one in the Hall and one in the roof void which we use for starage) because energy costs have driven us to reduce CH temperature to 18°C. One was to move around to different rooms and the 2nd for the garage where I wanted to monitor the temperature of our 40kW solar battery store. You must add a Gateway to get full utility from these but they will then display temperature and Humidity graphs year on year and you can set alarms (which I do for the greenhouse).

Perfect
Well after years of playing about with cheap Chinese weather stations, I finally get a system which works 100% and gives so far accurate reading. Well done Ecowitt.Quality product with good software support.

Good sensor, but not for uploading to 3rd party weather sites
This wireless indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity sensor works really well. I have the Gw1100A Wireless gateway and it connected immediately. It's good that you can connect 8 of these sensors to the unit, in addition to several other weather sensors.I've dropped 1 star due to the fact that this doesn't update the outdoor weather to 3rd party sites, such as Weather Underground. It turns out that you need the WH32 sensor, which look similar but only uses 1 channel. The WH31 sensor can be used in various locations around the house or garden, but won't upload to 3rd party sites. I fortunately, Amazon don't sell the WH32 at the time of this review.I'll keep this to locally measure the external temperature for now and have ordered a WH32 via the manufacturer's website. This will be used as a room sensor in the house afterwards.Apart from the above, this is a good value sensor and has a good range on it. You can also view the temperature and humidity on the device itself, meaning that it can be used as a standalone device.Definitely recommended, as long as you understand the limitations outlined above. If ordering the WH32 model elsewhere, make sure you have the 868Mhz version for Europe as US and other versions use a different frequency.
