Sturdy floss that really cleans between your teeth!
For years, I'd been using Oral B Advanced floss, and for years, every time I went to the dentist, the tech would ask, "Are you flossing at least daily?" and then skeptically ask me to demonstrate how I flossed in case there was something wrong with my technique. The most recent time, I asked my dentist what she recommended, and she said, "I've tried several different natural fiber flosses, but I really like Dr. Tung's. You can find it on Amazon." (She gave a more detailed review, but I'll get to that shortly.)One of the problems I've always had with Oral B, besides it apparently not doing a great job actually flossing, was that the strands broke easily. I'd end up using and wasting a lot of it because of that. And I've yet to actually break a strand of Dr. Tung's, so even though it costs more than Oral B, I'm using a lot less of it.The fiber also expands while in use, which makes it clean better. My dentist specifically mentioned that in her recommendation. I'll see in 5 months or so when I go back to the dentist for my next cleaning if that's made a difference at all, but it *feels* like it's doing a better job at cleaning down around the sides and bases of my teeth. It feels a bit tight going between some of my teeth, in fact.I could honestly use a different flavor; I'm meh on cardamom. But I care more about how well it works.Overall, I'm quite pleased. I have yet to cut my fingers using it (yes, on a few occasions, the thin, highly-waxed Oral B actually cut the side of my index finger near the top joint, where I usually wrap the floss around my finger!), which is something the manufacturer calls out in their advertising ("gentler on gums, softer on fingers"). My gums feel healthier, and I expect the one problem spot my dental hygienist always insisted I needed to do a better job flossing ("really work it down next to the gum along the edge of the tooth root") should do better next time I go in for an exam, too.

Eco friendly pape dispensers! Great floss
If I could give more stars I would. And I confess that I sure didn’t feel that way when I first opened the pack.I purchased this because my dentist office had given me a sample the last couple of visits. I liked the sample, and I started a six-month experiment to see if I could get my gum measurements up with serious daily flossing. It worked! Here’s the shocker: the little plastic dispenser from the dentist sample is nothing like how these are packaged. It was so confusing when I opened my first pack, that I yelled around a bit until I saw the genius of the dispensers. They’re paper! No flipping plastic. And it totally works. There is a little metal cutting tab, but the rest is heavy paper. You start the floss through the dispenser, and its a snap. This floss is remarkable. If you’ve never had a sample from the dentist, I’ll tell you about it. It is more of a tape than a floss, so it slides easily into problem areas. I have some teeth that are too tight together that tend to shred floss and leave a wad that ends up having to be picked out. I also have a couple of huge gaps that store food that’s difficult to get out. And painful. This floss slides right between tight teeth, and also between food and teeth.Love this stuff!

The best floss ever
I have been using this floss for a few years. I have a few teeth that are super close to each other and other floss breaks on those teeth, leaving bits of string behind. This is a great floss. Recently, I ran out and figured I would be thrifty and just all of my random sample packs of flosses that I get from the dentist. Ugggg. It was miserable. I would go through the process of flossing as usual, but the waxy and thin floss just didn't feel like it was doing anything. Unless I had a piece of something like broccoli in between my teeth, it didn't feel like it was doing much. After a few weeks, I couldn't handle it anymore and I purchased some more Dr. Tungs. It just cleans better. It's like millions on tiny strands within the floss that actually provide a friction against the tooth to clean it. If you're going to go through the time and effort to floss, use the best product there is. This is the best.

The Only Floss I Love: Cardamom Flavor, Gentle Texture, Eco Packaging, Travel-Friendly
I’m the daughter of a dentist, so I’m hyper-picky about oral hygiene—and DrTung’s Smart Floss is the only floss I can honestly say I love.If you prefer flat, waxy ribbon floss or ultra-slippery floss that just slides through, this probably isn’t for you. I like a little grip: this floss has a gentle texture that feels like it’s actually cleaning, and it works well in both tight contacts and slightly wider spaces without shredding. The flavor is natural cardamom essential oil—light, clean, and far nicer than artificial mint. I floss twice a day and actually look forward to using it.For travel, I pull the spool out of its cardboard dispenser and tuck the coil (still in its thin cellophane sleeve) into my kit. I use my tiny scissors to clip what I need—ultralight, zero fuss.Separately, it’s eco-friendlier than most options: the dispenser is cardboard, so there’s far less plastic waste than typical plastic floss cases. My whole family uses it (my daughters included), and we buy it by the case. I consistently get great feedback at the dentist, and I credit this floss—plus my Swiss Curaprox flat-bristle toothbrush—for those results. If you want floss that feels like it’s working, tastes pleasantly natural, and is easy on the planet, this is the one. I absolutely adore it.
