I used this for making wine and it worked perfect! The lid sealed air tight it had a little extra room compared to your average bucket so with 5 gallons of product you have ample head room to avoid it bubbling over during fermentation. And it has really useful scales on the side for alcohol volume. If I ever need another I will definitely purchase the same one.

I make wine and do some home distillation, so it was nice to have a food safe bucket that is easy to clean so that it does not keep the smell of whatever I last put in it. No soap, just clean with hot water and a plastic brush or scrubber. The seal is constructed well enough to keep out the bugs and to keep and almost perfect distillation process with almost no sugar left when I made shine. 5 gallons of wine is perfect enough to make a case of wine, a case of sparking wine and enough to hold the right amount of mash to make this purchase more than worth your while. The tops are perfect for annotating what it in the bucket and when it was put in there. GREAT VALUE!

I like the size and quality of this primary fermentation bucket. I also like all of the measurements on the bucket and the included temperature strips. The top is sometimes a pain to remove but overall very sturdy. I’m happy with my purchase. Would recommend.

My 6.5 gallon bucket came on time, well boxed, quality of product is good, unfortunately it's supposed to come in with 3 pc airlock, and it didn't not in the box, not taped to bucket not inside. Other than that iam happy with my purchase.

It was missing the air device that seals the bucket for fermentation.

Look, it is a food grade 6 gallon bucket. Do I think it should be 30 bucks? No, but it's is what it is. That said, the lid was suppose to come with a rubber grommet to create an alright seal and it did not. Now I'll have to buy one separately. It was one of the reasons that I chose this bucket. A little irritating.

Use for fermentation I think there easier to use than steel fermenter.

buyers have said that lid is hard to remove the lid has a strip on the bottom that has to be removed simply locate tab on strip and pull in the direction of arrow lid will be much easier to remove
