makes a big difference on my cane
I walk with a cane, constantly, I can only walk with a cane. I have several, but my favorites are the self defense solid non-adjustable canes. I put this on three canes, two wood and one aluminum K-Bar cane. This stuff is great, looks like foam pipe insulation, but it is far stronger, solid rubber, with enough "give" to make it very comfortable to hold while putting your weight on it. Grips better when wet. Saw some reviewers had issues with installation. Had no problems installing on one inch diameter canes, used good old KY jelly as a lubricant. Water based, will not harm finishes or rubber / plastic, dries clean, excess easily wipes off with a wet rag. Once dry, its there. Another option would be talcum powder, if you have any, can't by it anymore, and its a big mess. Use KY or any water based personal lubricant, do not use any petroleum or oil based lubes, and even some liquid soaps can attack finishes and some rubbers. Will put this on anything I need to hold on to regularly.

So far so good
I bought this product as a replacement sleeve for my paddle board paddle. Works just fine, and I like the length of it. Wherever my hand is on the paddle, it's gripping the sleeve. Getting it wet does not affect it adversely, dries out quickly. So far seems very durable. And it came as a 2 pack, so I have the other one to put on my kayak paddle. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

O.K. Grip. Installation hints
The grips arrive with no instructions to install them. I was remaking a clamming rake for my wife that came with an oversized metal tube handle that weighed about 15 pounds. It was too much for her to lug around a beach. So, I replaced it with (believe it or not) a curtain rod. Much lighter and plenty strong. But, it needed a grip, thus this purchase.Manually trying to slip the grip on, it proved futile. So, I decided to mount it the way I change golf club grips, using an air compressor. First I had to plug the opposite end of the rod with some marine putty to make it air tight. I then sprayed some WD-40 onto the rod and into the open end of the grip, lightly coating them and wiping off the excess. Then I took my air compressor nozzle, stuck it into the end of the grip and hose clamped it in place (see pic). Then I slipped the open end of the grip onto the rod and started using the air nozzle and fed the grip on about 2" at a time, working it all the way down the rod.this worked well and was EZ.Hope this helps!

Great product highly recommend
Great product very dense. Got this for my total gym 1000 pull up bar and perfect fit. Tip: when installing it use 100 psi air hose and slip tube onto bar then blow air under inside edge. Makes rubber float and it slides on easy. Two people one for air other to push on tubing took less than two minutes no grease or oil needed. Hope this helps

Great! Doesn't slip. Soft but sturdy.
Replaced some ripped foam and ended up replacing all the old foam/rubber anyway because this one is better quality. It's thicker and softer than our old ones. Very hard to get on, we used the canned air trick, but needed two people. One to press the can and the other to pull the foam over the bar.

Just what I needed for covering swingset chain...
My daughter spends a lot of time on her swingset. So much time that she had worn calluses on her hands. Even with the chain that is made with covering on it to prevent pinching, it just wasn't enough to protect her hands from severe callusing. I had tried many different things to try to protect her hands, but nothing stood the test of time until I tried this foam. It's perfect! I cut one piece in half and used a cord to pull the chain through the foam tubing. I wet the foam to make it easier to pull the chain through the tubing where the chain is larger from the rubber covering. I have been using the foam for almost a year and it has held up very well in the sun and weather. I'm glad to find a lasting solution to my problem. Highly recommended!! I wanted to attach a picture but it didn't give me the option to add an attachment.

Great replacement
I used this to replace the grips on my Gazelle exercise unit. Not easy to install though. I finally squirted dish soap inside of the new grip, and was able to inch it on. Fits perfectly. Hoping it will give me many more years of use.
