This stuff works; yes, it smells and it’s a little messy to mix, but it does the job with high deer density yards

This is the only product that I have found that will actually keep the deer away. When my day lilies started blooming I noticed that the deer would eat the blooms right before they opened. This made me so mad because I look forward to seeing all the different colors. I have about 100 plants. It is a pain to mix up and a little bit icky but it really works. I sprayed the plants plus sprayed the ground surrounding my garden. No more blooms eaten. We are having lots of rain and it doesn't wash off. I have only treated my plants one time and the deer haven't bothered them again. But I didn't spray the two hydrangeas that were close and the deer pretty much wiped them out. I have a grape vine that is 12 years old and I have yet to eat one grape. This year I am going to spray them before the grapes are ripe to see if I can taste the grapes this year. The vines are hanging full of grapes and this will be the ultimate test. I have tried everything I could find to keep the deer from eating my plants and so far this is working. I have lost apple trees, cherry trees, maple trees and other plants to them eating them or horning them.

Works but drives off people as well as deer. I bought the type you have to mix yourself and it stopped up the sprayer. Be sure to use rubber gloves. I finally threw sprayer away. I got some on my skin and it takes a lot to get rid of smell. Lava soap helped but the smell stays awhile. I put it in a milk jug to store and I couldn't store it in the garage. The smell is overpowering. Would only buy again if necessary, but in another form. It is just very expensive. Would be easier to plant things deer don't like! Three stars is because of the mixing & ease of use. It does keep critters away.

A bit messy to make up, but filter bag was great. No blocking of spray head and my hostas are growing back, even after repeated watering in this hot weather we have had in New England.

Will not work on rabbits for more than one day. For me (using to repel rabbits only) I had much better luck spraying a fish emulsion on my lawn instead. It was much less expensive and will keep rabbits away for about 3 days.

I have problems with deer and rabbits eating our shrubs and flowers. Over the years, I've tried numerous other repellants - sprays, granular, pods, etc. with poor results. Plantskydd has been the most effective. I buy the powder and mix it in 1/2 gallon batches and then spray it with a quart size sprayer. This is a very messy and smelly process, but I find it the least expensive way to purchase and apply the product. The granular Plantskydd product has not been effective for me and the pre-mixed spray is expensive, so I continue with the mess and smell. The smell does dissipate fairly quickly after it's been sprayed. I would give this four stars if it was easier to use.

Plantskydd is by far the best deer and bunny deterrent. I spray this after planting my 8 flats of pansies/violas. I can stand at my window and watch the deer eat the neighbors pansies and walk right by mine. Even though it’s a bit of a pain to mix, I use the powder so that it will last for several years. Just mix the amount you need. Be sure to strain the liquid so nothing will clog your sprayer. The smell is awful while you are spraying, but this will fade quickly. It will put brown spots on the leaves, but these will also fade. Much better than eaten plants! I can not recommend this product enough. (Been using at least 15 years, and maybe more.)

*EDIT; Just planted and sprayed three new bushes yesterday - ones that deer will normally devour. This morning, I watched from the window as two deer wandered across to inspect the new plantings. They both sniffed at each bush and then just walked away! Plantskydd for the win!! After losing a whole new planted area to deer I was beside myself. A friend recommended this product and I am so happy with it! It is a little messy to mix - especially if you're a bit of a klutz like me but practice will make perfect! It does stink so please don't lean over it while mixing! Easy to apply and a little goes a long way. IT WORKS....the deer have wandered over and wandered away again...without destroying my new plants :)
