Q: any synthetic or artifical ingedients?

none that I can see. other ingredients - sunflower oil, natural mixed tocopherals (from non-GMO soy oil), softgel capsule (bovine gelatin, glycerin, water). not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, egg, fish or shellfish ingredients. I hope this helps. jim w.

Q: Does it still contain bovine gelatin?

As of January 2020, this item DOES use "Bovine gelatin", per the NOW product website. I emailed them, and asked for a change... As a vegan, that ingredient doesn't fit my needs.

Q: How big are the softgel capsules?

They are football shaped, gel caps, they are totally easy to swallow. It isn't a capsule, it's a small gelcap shaped like a fooball, easy to swallow.

Q: Do these actually make any noticable difference to your vision or eye health?

Visually it doesn't seem to make a difference. I use it to help prevent Macular Degeneration. It has helped other people in the past and I believe it works. My mother had this and lost all center vision.
