Sometimes, you just want some chocolate. This is very good chocolate, the kind you bring out for the company you really like.

I just received the 86% squares and there is not a separate place to comment on it Best tasting is the 72% but for both health and taste - go with the 86%. I've now taste tested most of the high cacao chocolate squres and this is my opinion. The 72% is Delicious and ordered more so I can give some away. Semi sweet so I've also ordered some of the high cacao ones to compare. These are definitely tasty and cacao is healthy. This size box is the best value for the money

Can’t hardly find this in my local shopping area. They are always sold out! So happy to be able to get this large quantity package. Mine came fresh, not melted, crumbly or any other negatives listed. I limit myself to one or two/day, so lasts a good while, about 2 months.

The Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares were awful. They did not taste like the ones I buy at the store. They looked old and tasted even worse. I will not buy Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares from Amazon again. The one on the top is from a store. It is darker and melts in your mouth. The one on the bottom I bought from Amazon. The color is faded like it is really old. Does not look fresh. Who knows how long they have kept these on the shelf. What a scam!

It is difficult finding the large bag of these Cacao Dark Chocolates

The chocolate is nice but the listing is incorrect. The seller calculates 29oz, when it's 24.6 oz (6 ×4.1oz), so the price is $2.03/oz, not $1.71/oz. Oops!

The problem is how to get dark chocolate in edible form without a lot of added sugar and calories. I have found that these 72% Cacao Intense Dark Chocolate Squares have the perfect balance. Each square has only only about 2.5 grams of cane sugar (no articificial gunk) and 60 calories, with 3 grams of saturated fat, which is not unreasonable or unhealthy . The only additive used is soy lecithin, which is a natural product that has healthful benefits that improve cholesterol levels and lipid metabolism, boost immunity, and promote cell membrane function, being especially beneficial to seniors in improving cognitive function. I find the flavor to be superb, not bitter at all, and with a luscious creamy taste that lasts on the tongue and in the mouth. I believe that I have read that chocolate in the mouth inhibits caries (tooth decay). The serving size is three squares, but because of the convenience of the square form, you can have more or less as your taste and health determine. Ghirardelli has other "squares" with 86% and 92% cacao, but these have more sugar and saturated fat. I think that the 72% is the right balance for health.
