Mighty Muffins, Gluten-Free Double Chocolate, 1.94 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Oh my gosh - the Double Chocolate muffin is SO good! You really couldn't ask for something that's easier to make (1/4 cup of water, stir, 30 seconds in the microwave) and it pairs wonderfully with a cup of coffee in the morning. It should go without saying that this product isn't as sweet as a typical bakery muffin, and it's not supposed to be. Mighty Muffin is meant to be a healthy alternative - full of protein with only a few grams of sugar. Personally, I like the fact that the muffins aren't overly sweet.For those people who are used to eating protein bars & drinking protein shakes, I really think you'll enjoy these muffins. (For those who aren't used to protein-enhanced drinks & bars, you might notice a slight aftertaste - at least at first.) I've already ordered another case of the Double Chocolate and also have a variety pack as well to try (which is a good way to sample several flavors upfront so that you can determine your favorites and reorder from there). I definitely recommend FlapJacked to others and these Mighty Muffins will definitely be a staple of mine moving forward.

I am absolutely addicted to these mighty muffins. You won't ever feel again like you're on a diet! I originally had a hard time getting into them but one time I decided to add a tiny bit of semi-sweet chocolate chips and it was an absolute game changer for me - I have one almost every time after I go to the gym together with my protein shake. I get a ton of protein in one go and it still feels like I am having a cheat meal! Amazing!

I bought a few variety packs so I could taste test the different flavors, and 10/10 hands down the double chocolate was my favorite so I ended up ordering more that was just that flavor. Wasn’t a huge fan of any of the others, though none were in-edible. Generally the texture of all of them was similar, but I wouldn’t call it a muffin texture, definitely more cake-y. You also have to follow the directions exactly. I brought these to work a couple of time without a ¼ cup measuring cup and tried to eyeball it. This was a mistake. Too much or too little water really effects the cooking. I also loved adding a bit of peanut butter to the batter before microwaving, made the whole thing even more delicious.Overall, I think they’re tasty and love that they have extra protein, but I would not use this as a protein supplement. There’s still a good amount of carbs and sugar in it, so it’s more of a healthier twist on an infrequent treat. With that said, use protein powder and make your own microwave cake for a fraction of the cost. I will likely not purchase again due to the high cost.

So I have changed the way I eat, move and live my life and this product has been integral to that change. If you have issue with the flavor then you still have a sugar addiction. It has just enough little chocolate chips mixed in to give a pop of flavor in every bite. If you are committed to living a healthy lifestyle, this is a great product for you. I love the double chocolate muffin. So easy - I make in the microwave and eat it as I drive myself to work using a spoon. It's very filling. Protein is the key. I drink lots of water when I eat it. I've lost 26 pounds since replacing my bad food diet with choices like these muffins. I used to load up on sugary Eggos and still be hungry - one of these muffins in the morning does the trick to get me started and not be craving more carbs. Good luck with your own fitness journey!

This company, FlapJacked, does not care about the environment. Recently, they added a measuring cup in every single Mighty Muffin cup, so when you order 12, you'll get 12 plastic cups. The environmental impact of producing and disposing those measuring cups is huge when you consider how many of these they sell. If they are going to continue this, hopefully, that number is low. The taste of this product is okay but the product is overpriced. Well, I guess somebody needs to pay for the wasteful plastic measuring cups.

I love sweets but am currently tracking macros with an emphasis on protein. It’s been hard finding treats that fit within my macros but not now!I have been more conscious of the types of foods I put in my body over the last few years and I thoroughly enjoyed the way this tasted. My boyfriend on the other hand, who has not been watching the processed foods he eats, said it tasted like protein powder but he could see how it would taste good to someone who has been eating greener. So depending on where you are on your health journey, you may or may not like this. I will definitely be buying again though.

Arrived busted open, powder all over the place. I could only salvage two of them. They were okay, but the peanut butter ones are far better in texture and flavor.
