Perfect, right out of the box!
I was pleasantly surprised by this axe. Right out of the box it was very sharp. I usually have to sharpen new tools. Not this one! It has a very comfortable, smooth handle and is very easy to swing. It also came with a REAL leather sheath, not a brittle plastic one. And, it chops like a much heavier axe
