I put some teak oil on it. Opens and closes with ease. Justa make sure your hole saw is the right size otherwise there's no coming back after that. Was glad I bought two of these to regulate air flow and temperature in my sauna. Would recommend if asked.

it functions ok. it closes the vent but it is just too expensive for what it is. taking one star off.

These things look cool. And they are an interesting idea. However, I don’t really feel like they function that great and my sauna. I’m not sure how much airflow they actually allow. They look very nice though. In addition, the individual units had some discrepancies where one of the units we purchased was crooked for the screw. It was very easy to send it back in order a new one.

I have purchased 3 of these for various sauna builds now. While they ultimately look nice in the space, I can't really recommend them. The laser cut and powder coated steel component, which the wooden cover screws into is very nicely designed and executed, however the wooden cover is of terrible quality. Three things stand out: 1) They are not perfect cirlces. Looking closely, you can tell this is made hastily, perhaps with a jig on a bandsaw, but is done very poorly and a simple visual inspection reveals the sloppy milling. 2) the wood is not sanded at all. Be prepared to spend some time with an orbital and hand sanding to get this thing looking nice. The edges are routed with dull bits and therefore show significant tearing of the wood fibers. It's really quite poor. 3) The bolt in the back is not set perpendicularly in the 2 of the 3 that I have purchased. Causing them not to close properly and to look quite dumb. I've had to remove the bolts, epoxy fill the holes, re-drill and re-mount the bolt. Additionally, they are not hanger bolts but simply machine threaded rod in the wood. A terribly design choice. Be prepared to spend way too much of your time getting this product to an acceptable quality.

I purchased two of these for our sauna build. They look very nice, but one of them is seeping sap badly.
