Cooling Vest, Sports Cool Vest with 6 Ice Packs Men Women for Ice Shirts

I love tis vest for it's cooling effect however, when the pack thaw they leak and get this gel stuff everywhere.

wonderful budget product, the fact that it came with ice packs (just add water) meant I could hit the ground running.You have roughly four hours of cooling if you change the packs out once an hour, five or six maybe if you let them thaw completely before changing them. (depending on your local temperature)To add the water (one cup per pack) you will want a funnel with an inch or two of a spout to insert past the neck of the pack. pour slowly as the silica gel absorbs the water it can spill if you go to fast. Once full remove the funnel and pinch the neck closed. You will probably want to replace them eventually but it is a good starter set of ice packs.The vest iteslf runs a little small, I"m a XXL but was able to make it work with a decent range of motion.Only down side to this cooling vest, the shoulders are "adjustible" Velcro, one good "hulk" moment can put a lot of pressure on the shoulders.With all six pockets loaded it is more than enough to prevent heat exhaustion and the added weight of the ice pack isn't to bad.Made being out in 110F day today much nicer.

The vest works as described. It is on the small side. The user is an adult male and the side straps do not cclose. One big negative is the absence of any instructions. The freezer packets are supplied empty and instructions for filling are in Chinese. After some experimenting and ruining a few bags we found what seems to be the correct volume and mixing procedures.

Hard to use

The media could not be loaded. Like the jacket but one size doesn’t fit all ! Velcro on the sides are little and makes it tight not to fit! I added more Velcro! And go to Walmart and buy those blue freezer blocks for.99 cents . They last for hours and are better than those silly water bags!

Had to order plenty of extra bags. People need to research the climate where they are using this item. Or any cooling gear for that matter. This is the better option for areas with high humidity! It worked great for me on the 4th of July in south Louisiana. I did have plenty of extras so I could keep the ice on me. As long as you’re not in full sun for hours on end, they last about 4-5 hours.

I bought this for my son he is 6’ and 215 pounds. It’s a little small on him. It does work well I did buy the hard ice packs from Walmart the ones that come with it. Leaked!

Fits a little awkward but definitely helps beat the heat
