Was....Cannot get it to work....now...works fine.
I previously rated this 1 star because I could not get it to work. But..it was entirely my fault...I was using an under-powered power supply. Once I used a properly sized one, it works fine. My most humble apologies to the makers/sellers of this fine piece of equipment.....original review....I don't want to call this "junk", because there's a possibility that I simply just don't know what I'm doing. But...I cannot get it to connect either to the included keypad nor my phone and I think I've tried everything and followed all the directions. When I plug in a strip and power it on, the strip lights up, but that's about it. The keypad controller doesn't work, even when holding down the on button for 5 seconds. And I can't get it to connect to the app on my phone. The LEDnnnn name doesn't show up on my wifi list (and, yes, I'm using a 2.4g network and bluetooth is enabled). I hate to return things...but...this is probably one that I will if I can't get it to work,

Blew up my string
I read many reviews where people said it blew up their led lights I figured it was just hooked up wrong. But after checking all the wires checking + - and data line rechecking hooking them up and the unit blew up both my strands I was so mad.. I've now had go and rebuy 80 bucks worth of lights, and rerun them taking up 2 days of my time. Never will I buy cheap again to try to run dual lights as one and will read and use the reviews as a 100% buy or not to buy.

Fantastic Pixel LED Controller
I used this controller with bendable SK6812 RGB pixel LED strip, which was secured on the back side of the wood "Judy" lettering. I elevated the "Judy" about 1/4" to provide enough room for the light from the strip to spread against the background. The strip, unfortunately, was not available through Amazon, so I needed to source from another vendor. This was my first pixel LED project, so there was a bit of a learning curve. I needed to figure out how to match the number of pixels on my strip's length after being cut to match the sign....then match that to the settings in the app. I also needed to change the color setting. Out of the box, for my strip, the app reversed two colors, so that took a bit to figure out. I eventually found the setting that corrected this, matching the controller to the strip.Know, also, that this controller can be run via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. In my application, I'm powering the sign using a 5v USB battery, so energy use was a concern so we have the maximum run time. Wi-Fi would communicate continually, drawing down the battery faster, so we opted to use the controller in Bluetooth mode. The control response is instantaneous, too, with no perceptible delay between the button press and the response in the lighting.A few final words on the controller: the unit is very lightweight and may not impart a lot of confidence in its quality. That's not the case. This unit is fairly easy to set up (with no previous experience) and just works. I even had it powered down for a few weeks and all of the light strip configuration remained in its memory. Bravo. I do not anticipate any long-term issues with the use of this controller, and will likely buy another one soon for a new project.

Works well but firmware limited
These are very versatile and just plain work. Tried another brand that would not even maintain a single color. The firmware seems to not send full 255 range for RGB, thus impacts overall brightness. I reached out the support and they claim this is for longevity. That's fine if you are using the controller for LED power but it shouldn't matter if using external power. I wish there was an override function. The android app is very featured and the remote only does a small subset of functions.

Work with ws2815
I order it to use with ws2815. This controller have 3 pins, ws2815 have 4 pins. I connect blue and green wire and make it work with this controller. Controller is not powerfull enough to handle 4x16ft light, so, better to add power directly to ws2815.

Don't buy. Works intermittently and frustratingly
Giving 2 stars because the app is nice and works great when it works. However, there were many scenarios where this did not work or would crash after working for a little bit of time. When I say "did not work" or "would crash", what happens is that the controller seems to stop working and sending signals to the strip and the strip will remain in whatever state it was in when the controller stopped working. The remote fails to respond and the app fails to respond. I would get it to respond again sometimes by cycling the power and re-adding to the app, but then would crash all over again.I thought maybe my 5v power supply wasn't putting out enough volts, so I tried multiple 5v power supplies and I put them on a multimeter. 5.04v, 5.1v and 5.2v. And the same behavior occurred. I got slightly better results when powering from a 5v wall adapter, but it would still eventually crash.I was testing with a 16ft strip and thought maybe the current was too much, so I snipped the strip and worked with 1ft. And the same intermittent behavior would occur.I can't tell, but I suspect this won't work well with 5v and may work better at higher voltages. My strips are all 5v so I can't send 12v to them. I tried running the controller at 12v without a strip on it and it seemed more solid from the app side, but the fact that its not driving any leds could also be the reason why it stays solid. Not sure.In any case, for my application I need 5v battery operated function, so this is not the jam.

Why only 300 LEDS out of 400?
400 led string. Removed 13 leds from the center due to crushed wires. Remainder is a string of 387 fairy lights. Inserting power every 100 leds. Controller will only light 288 Leds? Any idea why? Should light 2048 pixes. Same with included remote or phone app “Magic Home”.
