La Prairie is another expensive line of facial products, that's true. I have tried many, especially since a doctor burned my face rather badly. This slightly tinted moisturizer has 50spf. It goes on smoothly, but it does cake up if you try to put on another layer, so apply one layer generously. I apply it once and then powder my face to set it. La Prairie has protected my face well from the sun over this past summer and fall. I do recommend it for fair, sensitive or damaged skin.

This was recommended to me many years ago because most products i have used cause breakouts. This does not and also is great for preventing sunburn. Something you don't want to have as you get older. I have tried less expensive products in hope that they would work but haven't.
