This is wonderful for quilting. When I received it, I did have to take the sides off and disassemble to slide the pinchers off of the frame. I didn't have enough hand strength to open it up until after I had it attached to my quilt.

Very hard to put around quilt material. Assembly is okay but hard, I am not happy with these at all.

Extremely difficult getting the snap on quilt holders OFF the frame when first assembling the frame.You "get what you pay for".

I have not used one like this before and was concerned after I got it that it would not fit around a quilt due to the thickness, but it does work! It is very difficult to remove the plastic parts that attach, both at first and when changing to another position on the quilt, that is a draw back and if you don't have much strength it will be difficult. I used a butter knife to pry it up a little. I was using a smaller round wooden hoop before and wanted a little more room so I did not have to reposition it so often and this works for me. But I wish it was easier to take off the quilt--it actually is really easy to put on the quilt, but once you have to take it off again it is kind of hard to do. Does not stretch it out too much and there is not a way to adjust it once you have it set up (make it more taut or straighten out wrinkles etc.), but that has not been an issue for me.

Very nice tension. Snaps for each side are tight but still able to get off with out too much difficulty when it needs to be repositioned.

I got this product on a recommendation from a friend. It works great for quilting - holds several layers together and never slips. Easy to put on and take off, and doesn't leave creases or damage to fabric. Excellent item. Sturdy and lightweight.
