Would this work for a one year old for plane travel?

Long hair gets stuck in them
I really struggle with my partners snoring and usually buy the foam type...I tried theses as they claim to be able to block out more noise, however I didn't find them any more efficient and my hair gets stuck in the wax.

Silicone gel broke up inside the ear
I only used them once, as the silicone gel broke up and some got lodged in my ear resulting in a £50 charge at the pharmacy to get it removed!

Effective but friable
These are the most comfortable earplugs I've come across (and I've tried all sorts), and they do block out snoring effectively. I've had the best sleep in ages. However, I have narrow ear canals, and these mould into the canal during the night....and are very soft when removed....the tip of the plug could easily be left behind: a problem I don't need with dry ear and tendency to ear infections.

To use, take a pillow and roll it between your fingers to soften it. Reach over head pull ear upwards straighten the canal. Insert gently into canal, then release allow expand for snug fit. remove, on outer ear. For cleaning, wash hands before handling earplugs. After rinse earplugs with warm water, avoiding soap, let them air dry. Do not use high heat Replace if they become hard, torn, or lose softness. Check safety warning additional instructions.

Wipe the surface of your ears before use. This will increase the stickiness of the earplug.

If you will use fresh pillow, then it will stick to ears of your child perfectly. Just cover ear canals - don't press the pillow into \"pin\" shape (there is no need, when you use fresh one). Earplugs will be less noticeable if you don't use 1 earplug per ear. This means that you need to split 1 earplug into 2 parts to get 2 less visible smaller earplugs. And you can get such small balls out of your ear by pressing your finger several times on the back of the ear. \n\nP.S.
