I can't attest to how this bag will perform in a fire but, it is a very well-built, heavy-duty bag. I have a small fire-rated home safe and wanted to get added protection for some of my important documents that I keep in this safe. The bag held all of my important documents and it fit into the safe perfectly. I feel comfortable that my documents will survive a fire should I be unfortunate enough to have that happen. I'll be purchasing another one of these bags. Great quality and great value.

Delivered quickly, sturdy product. It is a Velcro closure. Came enclosed in a plastic bag, if you're concerned about the fiberglass. I slipped my valuables and documents inside and hid it away without wearing gloves, but I don't plan on accessing it often. Washed my hands, changed my clothes afterward just to be careful (small children in the house). If you leave it out in the open or handle it frequently you may want to protect your skin, depends on your sensitivity. My husband worked with fiberglass insulation for years and it's something to protect yourself against but don't be afraid. Unless you're allergic, limited exposure won't harm you. He never had any health concerns. Anyhow, great product, great price, peace of mind, hopefully will never put it to through the test of a house fire.

I don't know how well this product will hold up in a fire and I hope I never have to find out, but from what I can tell, it looks sufficiently durable. It looks to be made of a thick, woven fiberglass material and it has a Velcro flap that seems to cover the opening well enough. It's bigger than I thought, so it should be able to hold large documents. In fact, I was even able to fit a letter size portfolio with multiple documents inside.The only criticism I have is that it would have been nice if there was some kind of coating on the fiberglass material. It is not recommended to handle the bag with your bare hands because the fiberglass WILL give you splinters. Even a thin protective film over the material would have helped prevent this.

Always delivered quickly, sturdy product.Very useful, handy bag to safe guard all the important documents and items. It's large enough to hold a few manila envelopes of documents I ordered this as a gift to my close friends. Highly recommended to have one !!

This review is based on the "benefit of a doubt" principle in that I have (fortunately) not had occasion to put either of the two envelopes I purchased to the test. However, they are sturdy and well-constructed with a heavy duty Velcro closure.Consider that layers of protection are usually best (Eg. using the envelope in conjunction with a fire-resistant safe) with the bonus of greater peace of mind for your paper valuables in the event of a fire.

So far so good - looks like a quality product and is a great size - just hope we never have to find out if it truly works or not !!!

My bag arrived quickly! It's heavy duty with strong Velcro closure. Large enough to put in personal items which I can then store in my safe. Hopefully I'll never have a fire to test this out, but feel like I've made the effort! I am going to purchase several more of these now that I see the quality is worth the price.

The media could not be loaded.  I was really hoping this was going to be a winner. But was utterly disappointed. The concept behind this is great. The products wasn't.I had three big problems with this1. I got SPLINTERS from the fiber glass . Now I understand the bag said be aware and use gloves when handling but come on. if my house is on fire and important documents are in here i have to search for gloves to grab it unless i want to cut my hand open in the process2. The outside of the bag seems to be really good against heat the sides ARE NOT. Less then a minute of heating it upon the back the sides ripped open exposing the papers inside.3. The photos make it seems like the top opens up all the way but its more of a slit then a flap. this make putting in large papers difficult with out having to bend or damage the corners.Super sad :(
