Worked perfectly on my UH71214. Easy two minute install - just remove the trim piece on the base of the vacuum, pull/clean the brush bar, and slide the new belt into place. I’ll echo another reviewer that you should make sure to depress the “suction only” foot switch if your having problems installing the belt - the switch tensions /loosens the brush bar belt and affects installation. Vac does a much better job on the carpet now!

I needed a belt for a specific vacuum. Great price. Came quickly (actually arrived before expected). The belt fits perfectly.

I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out like a lot of reviews why the belt seemed to big for this vacuum. I can't speak for every model, mine is the Hoover UH71250, but when you install the belt there is too much slack. If you plug in the vacuum the brushes don't spin. The reason for this on my model is when the handle is in the upright position, the brush will not spin. When you release the handle as if you are going to vacuum the slack tightens up and works properly. My model has a foot pedal to disengage the brush for bare floor vacuuming. Hope this helps.

Okay. Ended up throwing the vacuum

The new belt is installed and everything is working well . A word of caution when ordering - - READ the FINE PRINT for anything you order. It saves a lot of time & frustration in the long run. Having said that,Changing the vac. belt is my LEAST favorite job
