Is the Z100 suitable for an 8 year old? This will be his first scope.

My son was 14 when he bought this scope, but he said that once shown how to use it properly, an 8 year old should be able to use it. He says the hardest part would be using the finder scope, but even that is pretty easy once you know how.

Where and how can i attach my iphone to take pictures?

You will need to a smartphone adapter and attach it to the eyepiece. Center your iPhone's camera lens to the eyepiece lens to take pictures.

Does the Z114 tlesscope tube have a dovetail mount so tht itcanbe mounted on an alt-azumuth astronimical telescope tripod?

It does not come with the dovetail.

Can it be used with a tripod?

You can remove the scope from the mount, and mount it on an equatorial mount. The base it comes woth is not tripod mountable. I just put it on a folding table and that is good enough really.
