She eats the pills without hesitation. Her sister, who is a 11 year old mix of Chow Chow, Golden retriever and whoever else was passing by is also on these. She is a little younger than her sister and is also doing well.I am a big believer in the supplements to help out pets and in some cases, ourselves. I have my dogs on 3 products, this one and two others. I can't mention the others or this review won't be posted as it violates their policy. If you want to see the other products, please look at my other reviews.There is no question that my dogs are doing better after taking these supplements. I have seen an increase in range of motion and even just in their ability and ease of getting up. They eat these like treats and I give them one in the AM and one in the PM daily.Between these supplements and regular activity, both are doing very well. I can't say for sure which supplement is doing what but I can say before taking the supplements and now after, there is very noticeable difference. From previously needing assistance to get to her feet to now getting up like she did years ago and even running across the yard.My German Shepherd is between 12 and 13 years old and doing very well. I started her on these and one other supplement about 4 months ago, Prior to these two new supplements, she was in decline and needing help to get to her feet. Etc. She had been on a long time supplement which we have used with all our dogs and she remains on this one as well. We had almost stopped our walks as they were too hard for her. We had to be very careful and walk on surfaces with the best traction, etc.Now, 4 months later, she is walking in the snow, pulling like she thinks she is in the Iditarod races and she is happy. She plays with her sister, she is eager to 'help me" outside. It's great to see the "Younger version" again. How long will this last? No idea. But I treasure everyday, I keep her with me as much as she wants to be and we go out side and do fun things several times per day. She sleeps on the floor on my side on the bed and she is my buddy. She always has been.Its hard to watch your beloved pets age. I know even I don't move as I once did. But I do what I can and my Big Bear (as I call her) is just a great companion. Reality is age wears our bodies and those of our beloved pets. Anything we can do to help stem the wear and make her comfortable and keep her active is the least I can do for her. And I will do whatever I can.She went from I was afraid I was losing her 5 months ago to a marked improvement. I will continue to use the supplements in the combination i have been and I sure hope my results continue. Its the least I can do for my canine best friend. Something is working to make her feel better and move with more ease and less discomfort. The only changes have been adding the supplements which I have.Obviously, no one can guarantee you any results when it comes to senior companion animals who have wear and tear on their bodies, just as I do on my own. I certainly hope if you purchase this product, you feel it is worthwhile and helpful for your pet. I certainly have and I have no reason to mislead you.

One day in September my husband and I returned home from work and found that our (slightly arthritic) 12 year old dog (mixed chow and shepard 65 lbs) was not able to walk. We think she was running down the stairs and wiped out on the linoleum floor. As the night went on she quickly went downhill and wasn't even able to hold up her body weight on her back legs to potty. We rushed her to the emergency vet and were told it was either neuropathy or a spinal injury. She didn't seem to be in any pain she just couldn't stand or walk. We were given 3 prescription meds to try and my husband picked up a bottle of Overby Farms level 3. After a couple days she started to improve but had a 'drunk' walk, she was very wobbly, fell a lot and still had to be carried up and down the stairs. 2 weeks later after a check up at her vet we were told that they weren't sure she would ever recover so we kept her on the meds even though Rimadyl has devastating long term complications. We decided as long as she was not in pain, could eat, walk (sort of) and potty on her own we would accept this. We had also discussed the 'alternative' but she was our first pet together and our baby and that was just too painful to deal with. After a month on the prescription meds and appearing to improve we weened her off to see what would happen. Guess what happened? She continued to improve while only taking the Hip Flex. Today (3 months after her injury) she is perfect! She can walk up and down stairs on her own, run, jump in and out of 'her' chair and she's so playful and energetic as if she were a puppy again. The arthritis has even improved. She gets up easier and is less creaky. For us, this is a miracle product and we'll keep her on it the rest of her life.

Have been using this product probably for ten years or more. During that time, our three Bernese Mt. Dogs and one overweight 140 lb Leonberger (we always had two dogs at a time) never experienced any hip issues, and have not appeared to have any joint pain. Bernese Mt. Dogs are prone to cancer, and we lost all three of ours to that disease. The last male, only 7.5 years old, was very structurally sound, but died from prostate cancer. Our 9 year old Leo is going strong, and I've started our young Leo on this as well. The dogs play together vigorously every day. They love the taste, and I give it last of their three supplements, so that they gobble the other two to get to this one. I'm a firm believer in Hip Flex and hope it is always on the market. My husband and I have also begun to take tart cherry powder capsules because we've had such good results with the dogs.

Original owner was going into assisted living and they couldn't find anyone to adopt her...until us. Her back legs kept giving out from under her when we first got her home. We bought a harness carrier so my husband could carry her up and down the stairs and also lift her into the car. Her coat was covered in white dandruff and she had no "spunk" at all.
