Plaid Hat Games Ashes Reborn: Rise of The Pheonixborn

Great game if you are buying to play the “red rains” solo/co-op game mode. Which is absolutely worth it. I haven’t played the PvP although from what I’ve seen it could be fun. If you want to get into a game similar to other collectible card games but without having boosters and the other monetisation I’d recommend this one.

I have played this game a handful of times with my friends, and finally decided to buy my own set. Addressing some reviews I have seen: Some say that Ashes is a difficult game to learn. In response Ashes is a relatively easy game to learn, in comparison to Magic and Yu-gi-oh. I would say Ashes is easy to learn, really really hard to master. Also it is significantly cheaper than the other card games I mentioned, there are not $100 chase cards. You can play several games with what is included in this master set, and if you like it you can get expansions for about $15. A few have said the tokens were misprinted. The copy I got in March 2023 has the proper tokens, so it appears the publisher has gotten that issue resolved.

Este juego no es fácil de entender a la primera, prepárense para jugar un par de juegos sin entender del todo las reglas. habiendo dicho eso, Ashes es si duda uno de los mejores juegos de cartas que he probado, sus mecánicas te obligan a nunca depender de la misma estrategia.

The only thing I have issue with is the tokens it came with are only the one point value. One side should be the 5 point side but both sides are the one point. I went by their website to get a replacement token sheet but it’s been a couple of months

Dos veces compre el juego y las dos veces los tokens de vida llegaron defectuosos, me imagino todo el lote salio defectuoso y recomiendo esperar a comprarlo hasta que salgan todas las versiones defectuosas
