Great version of the classic!
This version is easy to understand and has 12 or 13 of the tales. The Lit books usually cover the prologue and either the knights tale or pardoners tale. This is nice because you get a more comprehensive view of the tales, characters and the time period. Great for cross-curriculum study of British Literature and Western Civilization.

Concise and Focused
Excellent summarization of this classic, that can be challenging to many. I loved how the plots of each of Chaucer's stories were edited to be complete, yet understandable, thus allowing me to "know" these important works. After all these years, I finally am familiar with Chaucer, which, to me, was an important thing to do.

Good Read
Bought this book to read with my granddaughter who is in seventh grade. The book is written well for a seventh grade level. I read this book in high school and enjoyed reading it again.

Reading for Linguistics
It's wonderful! My kids are reading this to go along with Ruth Johnston's linguistics course, "Excavating English." This book gives a very entertaining picture of the time period of mixing of Anglo-Saxon and Norman cultures/languages, but done in a kid-friendly way.

Chaucer is fantastic
Modern translation of Old English classic brings the tales of the pilgrims to all to enjoy. It is a shame Chaucer did not complete all the tales.A quick read on a timeless classic

Canterbury Tales in Common English!
Though this is a children's version of the venerated Canterbury Tales, I enjoyed it immensely. I recommend it for those who want to be familiar with the content but don't especially want to wade through the Olde Englishe.
