I needed to convert a 6 in. can (recessed) light to a multi-pendant light fixture. The hole in the ceiling was 6-in, but the fixture's canopy was only 4 in. in diameter. I used a "can light converter kit" but I didn't like the plastic medallion that came with the kit -- looked very cheap. I replaced the 4 in. canopy cover with this 7 in. one, and it looks perfect. Very modern, in keeping with the new light fixture, and easy enough to install myself

Its a good canopy piece with lots of connecting hardware. For the life of me, I can't understand why the cutout in the top is so small, though. There is just enough room to use its anchor, absolutely nothing for wire routing. If you're dealing with a low profile ceiling box, and not just holes in your ceiling where you have wires run, you might find yourself having to modify this like I did.I took a dremel to this and opened up the inside of it a bit more. Then there was plenty of space for wire routing and connections. I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you're confident with cutting and it is not the kind of thing you would want to do if you were replacing 10 of these, but for 1 it was no big deal.Otherwise, its sturdy, attractive, and easy to install. Sits reasonably flush with the ceiling after tightening it up. The wife loves it, so I love it.

This was a replacement canopy for a hanging light we purchased that came with a canopy that was too small to cover the 4" round electrical outlet box in the ceiling. Oddly, the one it came with was only 4". This canopy was the only one I could find that did not have additional holes on the bottom for threads, which was a clean aesthetic design we wanted to keep from the other canopy. This worked well as a replacement. I was not a fan of the shiny chrome screws it came with for mounting the canopy to the hanger bracket, but luckily we were able to reuse the black screws that came with our other canopy. If I were to use the screws that came with this one I would buy black nail polish and paint them after installation, or spray paint them beforehand.

This canopy kit worked perfectly for my pendant light setup. It looks modern and clean, and the included hardware made installation super simple. Great option if you want a minimalistic ceiling finish!

I was hanging new lights to replace older style lights. These covered the footprint left by the old fixture. All the hardware I needed was included.

Love the look, and the sizes are great too. However, they feel cheap. The surface doesn't feel polished. It's a bit rough and uneven. I won't purchase again, but they don't look as bad from far away.
