Back to what worked best
I've been referreeing for nearly 15 years. I used to wear these Diadora shoes almost exclusively - until the maker changed them and they were no longer comfortable, and fit horribly. Glad to see they have gone back to the fit and style that worked!

Great Shoe
The size ran a bit smaller than I expected, but otherwise the shoe is great. Lightweight, good tread, breathes well. Just order about a half a size bigger than usual.

Great shoes except for . . .
Although the Diadora is a great, light turf shoe (and I've owned a couple of pairs in the past) there is one warning--do NOT wear these in the rain or they self-destruct. I wear them on dry fields only. Also, I was upset with this shoe this purchase because it had a slight defect. On the left shoe the material at the end of the tongue on the inside was not cut down too thin. There's a chunk of material that annoyingly rubs into the top of my left foot. I should've returned them to Amazon but I chose to deal with it. I simply pull on the tongue a bit extra to pull that thick material up a bit more. You're probable reading this saying, "what the hell is he talking about?"...in short, the manufacturing quality of the tongue needs improvement.

Go A Size Up
I normally wear a 9 but had to get a 10. I wear these when I mow my yard with a push mower because I have a fairly large and steep hill on one side of my yard. These shoes provide great traction for that and I never slip.

Good Referee Shoe and Good Price
comfortable but stiff in the beginning. They are breaking in the more I wear them

Really Comfortable
I have a wide foot and thought that the shoes would be too narrow but they fit well. They are light weight, comfortable, and easy on the feet. I have refereed five matches in them now (none in the rain or mud, all on grass) and really like them

A One Season Shoe
A couple of years ago, I officiated approximately six to ten youth soccer games per week during a spring season. Most of my youth games are 9v9 on weekends, and 11v11 high school games Monday-Friday. I wore the Diadora referee shoes during these events. The shoes were a snug fit; narrower than expected despite the US size labeling. I think the shoe breaks down faster compared to other athletic shoes I have worn. The cushioned heel lining is the first to go. The knobby tread is hard to clean, if caked in mud or especially after running on Goose poop laden fields. I once thought that the knobby tread would give my feet better traction and stability, however I managed to chip my Cuboid bone while wearing these shoes during a rainstorm as an AR.

narrow, good for women
From a Female Soccer Ref and Orienteerer. Usually I get athletic shoes extra big to allow for foot swelling. The trade off is that most Men's shoes are too wide. The Diadora shoes run narrow which is perfect for the Female foot. This is my 3rd pair.
