Natural/Aluminum-Free Deodorant (with baking soda): Paraben Free, Phthalate Free, Not Tested on Animals (Tweed + Spice)

For (SmartyPits - Natural/Aluminum-Free Deodorant (with baking soda) 2.9oz (Baby Powder) After one whole month I am impressed by this deodorant. No itching, no discoloration, no rash. It's strictly the aluminum that causes me serious issues. The baking soda did me no damage. The aroma is gentle and I smell good all day long and even when I apply it at night I still smell good in the morning. I might sweat, but I don't smell like wet dog anymore. I don't get painful ingrown hairs either.This is a little sticky when applying. I put a dusting of powder on after rubbing on the deodorant and that takes care of the problem. No discoloration on my nice shirts, even after laundering. I still have a generous amount of the tube left. I anticipate this will last about 2 months for my average once daily use. Aside from the "sticky" issue this is almost a perfect replacement for Secret's baby powder deodorant.

I have been a ‘Secret’ girl since I was 8 years old. In the past I have tried salt sticks, Tom’s, and other aluminum free deodorants and simply put… They don’t work. Not for me anyway. So I have always gone back to Secret. This summer I had a breast reduction and 3 large cysts removed from my breasts. I decided it was time to give the aluminum free another try. My niece recommended I detox my pits so I got a tub of Pacifica and use it weekly and Smarty Pits daily. I only shower a few times a week and it lasts! I have had comments on the smell of my essential oils when wearing lemongrass. It’s strong and has a clean smell. My favorite is the Rosemary and Mint. I only wish there was a vanilla based scent since that is typically my standard scent with perfume and deodorant. Otherwise, this stuff rocks. I highly recommend in combination with the pacifica scrub.

This deodorant *really* works, which is a first for me, having tried many brands and formulations of all-natural deodorants. It really lasts all day long. The scent (I got Tweed and Spice) is nice, and very subtle; it does have some similarity to Green Irish Tweed (the classic scent designed for Cary Grant) which I'm guessing it is in reference to. Don't rely on this if you want people to smell you and comment on it; while nice, it isn't strong enough for others to smell, and if you wear another scent it will not compete at all. The stick itself is not a clear gel, but it is not a dry powder either. It is gel-like but also has some off-white solid opacity to it. However, it goes on very thin and clear. I don't see any white deposits on my armpits, and I have not noticed any product transferring over to any of my shirts. You get a lot for your money: it's a large, substantial product, a good width comparable to other mens deodorants, and has quality packaging that functions really well. I'm really happy to have discovered this product. It blows away all the other natural deodorants out there, of which I've tried at least a dozen. Also, I have sensitive skin, and I'm happy to report that I have absolutely no redness when using this product. I will definitely buy this again.One thing to note: Thus far, I have only tried this in cold weather. I'm waiting to see, yet, how it holds up in hot and humid summer days. But, I have high hopes.

I like the lemongrass smell. It works well but is a little gooey to apply.

I used to break out in an itchy rash anytime i wore deodorant… and i was still smelly. Ive tried multiple types of deodorant but when i discovered smarty pits, my life forever changed. i don’t have any irritation anymore and it keeps me smelling like lavender throughout a whole 12 hour shift. I’ve tried this deo in Cool Cucumber & Lavender Rose and got different results.Lavender Rose: very difficult to put on sometimes (very “sticky/waxy), scent doesn’t hold up as well as I’d like (I live in Europe where the summers are getting hotter & there’s hardly any a/c anywhere so definitely no a/c in my home so it’s HOT & I’m SWEATING). However, the darkness in my pits was gradually fading. The scent is very nice. And the stick lasted me about a month even with applying at least twice a day.Cool Cucumber: easier to apply, scent is nice but subtle. Again, scent doesn’t hold up very well but it is getting cooler & is holding up BETTER. Not longer, but definitely better. However, I keep getting clogged pores & pimples that are very painful because of the friction caused by arm movement. That alone is enough for me to not buy this specific one again.Not entirely sold on the brand & will be trying other brands.

So I LOVED this product SO MUCH.... BUT it stopped working!!! I first bought it in Feb. 2019 and I’m writing this review in July of 2020. I’m a nurse. I work 12-hour shifts. I CAN’T stink!!!! LOL But this stuff 100% stopped working for me. I am so very sad. Coconut mango is my favorite scent and I just bought a 2-pack of it recently... :( I have moved on to Native deodorant and if works like a charm. Schmidt’s scorched my armpits. I’ve read that, of course, we all have different chemical makeups and it’s just trial and error with deodorants that are free of aluminum. You just have to find which one works for you... some have pre- and probiotics in them that help people. Some people can’t tolerate the baking soda in them and it will turn their armpits dark. It’s crazy... But I’ve never had a deodorant stop working for me. I guess it’s a thing tho. I’m proof. LOL

What I was using before this was Malin Goetz. Abt $35 a tube. It does last quite a while and I was very impressed with its performance. The pluses no more yellow stains and reeking underarms and horrible materials in the product... My under arms stilled smelled because of the nature of my work. But it was by far the best stuff that i knew about @ the time. I have gone 3 days now with this product and I am extremely happy with its performance. Spearmint smells great and @ the end of a long day (14 hours) my under arms hardly smelled @ all. I was blown away. Half the price and twice the strength. I recommend this product for now... lets see how long it lasts.
