Harmony Gear Fusion Sprayskirt

I'm just getting into Kayaking on rough waters, so I was looking for a low cost solution to get me going while I evaluate my needs more thoroughly. This skirt works to cover the entry of the boat, but that's about it. If you're on flat water, it will keep the spray from sloppy strokes out of your boat. It's seal is not good enough to keep you from taking on water going through choppy water though. Part of my problem is with my boat, so I'm giving this product an extra star, but even with a more compatible cockpit to fasten to, I really don't think this skirt would stop more than the lightest flow of water from getting into a boat.

I wish I could find this again and purchase it again. It is tricky to get on, but what skirt isn't? I use it on my Pelican Maverick. Soooooo worth it! Water does pool on it, and I lean and swish it off. I had to spend some time to get the fit just right, but it can be done. This is NOT a skirt that you can do rolls with, it isn't really water proof, but allows you to easily go down II+ rapids with a mostly dry boat. class III may be a bit much and might swamp it, but if your good, maybe not.

I have a recreational kayak that I needed a skirt for. The cockpit on rec kayaks is much larger than those used on other kayaks, so I was looking for something to keep the water/air out during colder days in Georgia. I am glad to say I have! This sprayskirt is just what I needed and so glad I was able to get one that fit the kayak. I use this kayak for fishing. This skirt allows me to use it when I need to get out and paddle or if I need to do some fishing when the weather isn't as pristine as I would like.I will definitely get a couple more for my other family members as well!

I used this on a pelican mustang 100x, I had to sand the underside of the cockpit rim before it would even think about grabbing. I think they should have put some sort of grip material on the bottom of the elastic. I did have issues getting it to stay on,

Works well, but only to a point. On a really rainy day, this skirt will eventually leak. There is also no way to hold up the skirt on your body and it falls down and collects water in the wrinkles. The draw chord can be looped around the back of your neck to keep the material taught, but has the potential of choking you out of you fall out and get tangled.

I wish the fit was a little tighter. Having said that; it seems well made and should serve it's purpose well.

I have an old town otter kayak, the skirt fits the opening just fine, I got the 38x20 opening, but with the higher back molded seat of these it gets pulled right off, the hole your body goes thru is too far forward, I did however make it work but that required cutting and sewing it back together, bought a "Seals" brand skirt (size 2.5) since and it is a lot nicer than the harmony!

The skirt works well on our kayak. However, for others reading this review make sure you measure your kayak carefully. My son did the first measurement and measured on the inside and not the outside and we ended up with the wrong size. So, we returned it and got this one and it fits perfectly. The return process was quite easy. We are relatively new to kayaking, so I cannot evaluate it against others.
