Fixed my issues with my JBL speaker. A little complicated to install, but there are plenty of videos to walk you through. Battery life is now great.

As many others have experienced, my original JBL Xtreme battery would not hold a charge....sometimes it would show as charging, then fully charged...but would last only 2 minutes or so before going from 5-led lights of battery to off. The speaker itself worked fine otherwise so I would just use it plugged in the whole time. This worked for a while but was annoying as the whole point of the Xtreme is for it to be portable. This kit comes with the battery, a small pry tool, and a small screwdriver. The pry tool is good enough and definitely needed to get the outer cover off and to release some of the clips. The screwdriver is cheap (as expected) BUT it was nice b/c it had a longer shaft that was thin enough to reach down the recessed screw holes...was nice not having to find one that worked (plus I wasn't at home when I did the battery swap so it worked out well). I'd highly recommend watching a YouTube video walk-through on how to disassemble the JBL Xtreme. Just take your time and keep the screws organized as you take them out. It will likely take about 20-30 mins as you slowly disassemble and reassemble the speaker. The new battery works great and it's an easy "unplug the old battery, plug in the new battery" once you get it all apart. I suspect the amp-hours aren't quite the same as the original so you might not get the full amount of hours of run-time compared to the original battery but mine has lasted for hours at high-volume and I've very pleased. I can actually use the speaker again, 5-stars all around!

this battery definitely got the job done when my original JBL Xtreme started going out! installation was pretty easy and I'm super glad that included the basic tools for the install. it did, however, depreciate faster than I had hoped - after a little over 1.5 years of casual use, it's starting to give out in 10 minutes after playing music at volumes around 50%. :( I'm not sure what that timeline would be worth considering this replacement battery is only ~$20 and I'm not too knowledgeable of batteries, but I was sure hoping for at least half the original battery's entire lifespan (almost 7 years). just keep in mind the longevity of this battery if you purchase!

Comes with tools and price great would recommend a stiffer pry tool and maybe add some foam to insulate the power wires to mitigate distortions

Worked great on my JBL Xtreme to replace a factory battery that wouldn't hold a charge. Nice the tools come with it too! Watched some YouTube videos how to do it and it took me about an hour taking my time. This battery works as good or better than the original so far.
