I used to own a tropical fish shop, a commercial FW fish breeder and now just a retired hobbyist. I only use Instant Ocean salts to hatch and/or grow Brine shrimp now. I have always obtained superior hatches using marine salt mixes over rock salt. In the past, I've cultured some corals but a true measure of a marine salt mix is to have reef fish breed in captivity. I have had pairs of Yellowtail Blue Damsels, Chrysiptera parasema) breed almost every week for months at a time in the early 1980's. In a different setup in the late 1980's and early 1990's I had a 125 gal reef tank. Mostly corals with a few fish. In that tank, my pair of Pygmy Flame Angelfish, Centropyge loricula and trio of Mandarin Dragonets, Synchiropus splendidus, would regularly spawn just after the lights turned off. Of course, I never successfully raised any young because that is too difficult if one is landlocked with no access to tropical plankton to fee the young but some have been successful in tropical Pacific and Caribbean ora.com facilities. Most major public and commercial marine aquariums use Instant Ocean because it has high predictable quality at reasonable prices.

Instant Ocean has always worked well and is of high quality. Always do monthly water changes, and fish stay healthy.

Put salt higher calcium and higher magnesium you don't need to go see those with them it's nice not to have to

This is the 2nd bag we have bought in the past year for my son’s 3 saltwater tanks. It keeps the water quality and ammonia levels where it should be. This is quick to react and doesn’t affect the color of the water. Keeps fish tanks healthy. Will buy again!

Product is great came as expected and always works good with my saltwater fish tank would recommend; as it is cheaper here than the other two, well known pet stores by like $10

I used this after a surgical procedure. Great for soaking in the bath. Also great to use for gargling with warm salt water.

It's salt. I use it for my hermit crabs. This box will last me 20 years. It does harden into a solid block but I just chisel pieces off, which is sorta fun.

Tengo cuarenta años manteniendo acuarios marinos de todo tipo, Instant Ocean y la sal que de las salineras de Lorena, Francia obtienen con adición de sintéticos me ha acompañado todo ese tiempo sobre todo cuando hay épocas en donde requieres un precio económico, ya que la acuariofilia marina no es para cualquiera por los costos que en cualquier momento enfrentas, el contar con sal de emergencia es obligatorio y desde siempre he contado con bolsas de reposición sin importar cuando las use, de tener hace unos veinticinco años un tanque de 1,000 GA pase gradual y lentamente a los tanques NANO con el ahorro en recursos, energía y especímenes para ir de la mano con una política de planeta sustentable y ahí estuvo Instant Ocean y seguirá hasta donde mi afición me lo permita.

Not sure if it was due to moisture but the salt started to clump together

buen producto que se disuelve facil con una bomba de agua/wave maker, buena calidad , el paquete esta perfecto para una cambio de agua donde se requiera 5 o 10 galones. En mi caso lo dividi en 2 partes y fue justo lo que necesite a 35, fue muy acertado la concentracion. lo seguire comprando para mis cambios en el futuro.
