Great quality, GREAT looking storm trooper helmet!!
I read the reviews, looked at other helmets, etc etc. When I first got it, came in 3 pieces all really good quality and no blemishes that i could find. I tried putting on the face piece first to feel the adjustable straps and discovered they were too tight on my head. Adjusted and viola fit perfectly (AND I do have a relatively large head. After a bit of adjusting and putting the 3 pieces together I found it fit great! Actually far more comfy than I expected considering even 4/5 star reviews! Now a few negatives. Seeing out of it at first can be awkward. I had to keep fighting the urge to pull the front down to look out of it. After a little while I got use to it though. ALOT of people complain the "voice changer" doesn't work. Well to those I have to ask...what do u expect a storm trooper to sound like? A man talking through a radio...which is exactly what it sounds like. YES you have to have the mic right next to your mouth however. AND being inside a helmet its easier to hear yourself then the radio sounding voice the mic produces, but then....most mic/voice changers DO sound like that TO the person speaking. Personally I was happy with the way it sounded.Could it sound better? Yes. Does it sound good? Yes. All in all GREAT Helmet. Either for collection or costume wearing..looks great and with a few mods feels fantastic (got myself a set of pads and modded mine and is awesome! Inexpensive for the quality of the helmet too! One of the best you can find that actually LOOKS like an authentic helmet. Can't wait for Halloween!

Fantastic helmet at a great price point.
Simply gorgeous looking. The best looking Stormtrooper helmet you will find at an affordable price. While likely not meeting the 501sts standards without some work, for anybody else it will be a magnificent piece to display or wear to torture the cat. The helmet is three pieces, at least out of the box. Unlike some other adult helmet replicas, in which the separate pieces are used to get a better fit and close around the head, (Hasbro Legends Iron Man and Starlird, Bandai's Red Power Ranger) for the Stormtrooper helmet, the three pieces are largely for manufacture and shipping. Once you clap them together you will not be taking them apart. It goes on over the head, just as seen in the movies. Fit and finish is superb. I can't speak to the minute accuracy of the sculpt, but to the inexpert eye it looks dead on. It's mainly unpainted white ABS plastic. Which is a good thing in this case. Stormtrooper gear is shiny white plastic. With some nice clean paint apps for detailing, such as the blue on the respirator vents and the grey temple and nose details. The lenses are dark green. I'm not sure if that is accurate to the on screen props, but they look right in the fles. Giving the shiny black look for the eyes with just enough color to make them seem real. The voice changer is pure garbage. It sounds awful, randomly works and just seems tacked on. The only reason I don't take a star off for it is it is completely and utterly pointless and unnecessary. Nobody is buying this thing just to hear themselves say "these aren't the droids w're looking for" and "move along" through a cheesy toy voice box. Just leave the batteries out. The fit on an adult male head is decent. The internal strapping is meh at best. It suffers for only being anchored to the front half of the helmet (due to the three piece design). Without a hear anchor on the head strap the helmet tends to tilt upwards slightly, limiting your downward vision. If you plan of routinely wearing this thing it would be worthwhile to invest in some cheap motorcycle of football helmet padding to put inside. While it has a few minor flaws, the shear value of this thing cannot be beat. It's the helmet you have craved since that glorious May Day in 1978. A look and design that has honestly never been equaled. And it is available at a below $100 retail price. You can't beat that.

Just an awesome, affordable stormtrooper helmet
Just awesome. Fits just fine on me with my large glasses on ... my head is 22" diameter or roughly 9" x 6". It's larger than my 2005 Hasbro Darth Vader voice changer helmet (can't fit into that helmet with my large glasses, but can with smaller glasses). Fairly solid. Voice changer sounds ok to me inside the helmet, but others say that can't hear me well outside. Even the old Darth Vader voice changer wasn't that good, but it had movie phrases and Darth Vader breathing sound clips that could be activated with the push of a button. This stormtrooper helmet would be even better if they had added stormtrooper voice phrases. Nevertheless, I'm just happy to be able to have an affordable, wearable, stormtrooper helmet that looks really good as a pair for my Darth Vader helmet (it would be nice if the Darth Vader helmet was re-made with size matching this stormtrooper helmet.

Decent.
I was very disappointed that the voice changer doesn't work at all. It's just a speaker which conveys your own actual voice, and not very loudly. It's also not comfortable at all for an adult to wear. I've read that it's possible to make modifications by gutting the inside, I don't know, I didn't buy it for me. It's also quite an expense. My son loves it. When he saw it on his bed after getting home from school he was full of joy. The helmet simply looks awesome and it fits on his head perfectly. We played Lego Skywalker Saga together and he wore the helmet the whole time. It was adorable and definitively a memory I will always treasure. So I don't feel bad about spending $200 on this. He is wearing it this year for Halloween with his cheap storm trouper costume that only came with a face mask instead of a full helmet, so this complete's the set. We are going trick-or-treating 3 times this year, once at Disney, once at the kids school, and one on the actual holiday, so he will get good use out of it before it becomes just a prop in his room.

Well built and looks great! It’s a little difficult to see through the eyeholes, but it gets better if you can adjust the straps to fit properly. I took out the straps and nosepiece altogether and replaced them with foam padding. Much more comfy now. Spend some time adjusting it to your size and you won’t regret the effort. Don’t eat onions or garlic before putting it on though. You WILL regret that.

When I click the 5-star rating for this helmet, the associated text is "I love it," and I really do, so that's why I give it 5 stars. This is a superb display prop. The sculpt quality is just terrific. Gone are the falling-off decals of yesteryear: all the details are sculpted and molded and bonded and screen-accurate. It looks just great. However, the voice synthesizer is plain lousy. If Hasbro releases similar masks in the future -- and I sincerely hope they will -- then please, either make substantial improvements to the voice synthesizer, or just scrap it entirely. Moreover, I would not recommend this helmet for dress-up. For starters, it's uncomfortable and rather snug for an adult-sized head, and I don't think I could stand it for more than a few minutes, but more importantly, there is a small chance that the wearer could hyperventilate if the neck area isn't kept clear to ensure adequate ventilation. This ought to be a matter of common sense, but it never hurts to state the obvious, right? Grab one of these if you want a realistic-looking display prop. I just love it, and hope for more, especially Vader and Fett, especially if they can re-jig the voice synthesizer. Hope this helps.
