15 Miracle Fruit Seeds (Synsepalum Dulcificum) - Grow Your Own Miracle Fruit Plants - Fruit Turns Sour to Sweet

Since these have such specific requirements, and I live in a rather arid place, I was hoping to get one, maybe two, healthy sprouts out of the 15 seeds. My hopes and expectations were completely dashed... instead, I have 15 glossy, beautiful, little plants! 100% success! Really, they've been quite worry and maintenance free. The key, I think, was setting up the proper environment from the start. Ingredients: -Plastic Critter Keeper -Decorative glass marbles -Seed starter Peat Pots -The recommended miracle grow soil -Humidity gauge (from the pet store, pretty cheap) -New plastic spray bottle -Water (from the fridge filter, allowed to warm to room temp before use) -15 Miracle Fruit Seeds What did I do? -The night before planting: Rinsed the critter keeper, spray bottle, and marbles with bleach water, then regular water. Filled the spray bottle w/ filtered water. -Taped Plastic Wrap to the lid. Only one side was taped, so I could flip it back and forth to better regulate the humidity and airflow as needed. -Put the decorative glass marbles in the bottom of the critter keeper, filled bottom to about .25" w/ filtered water to increase humidity. The marbles kept the pots up out of the water so they didn't mold/rot/oversaturate. The humidity never dropped below 85. -Filled the peat pots w/ soil. Thoroughly moistened the soil and pots with the water. Planted the seeds according to the instructions. -Put the peat pots in the critter keeper, stuck the humidity gauge inside, closed the lid, checked on them daily. Gave each seed a little spritz as needed.If it started to smell musty, I'd flip the plastic wrap back to let the air flow through until the mustiness was gone. Worked great. -Once they sprouted, I moved the keeper to a window with bright, indirect light. Remain patient. Keep it maintained and regulated. It took a few weeks before I saw my first sprout. All but two are now about 5-6". I almost gave up on the last two, but they popped up a couple weeks ago and are ~ 3" tall now.

Seeds never sprouted. Go buy a plant and forget the seeds.

Seeds are wonderful. All but one sprouted for me, sent with detailed instructions and in a moist cloth to prevent dry out. I started mine in potting soil under grow lights with a plastic film over to increase humidity. They are slow to start, but just be patient. I cannot wait to see them continue to grow.

I have about 5 seeds in a mason jar still green. 3 seeds that are actually sprouted all were transplanted into what you see in the photo. And the rest while they were fresh initially they ended up getting fungus and rotting. I just transplanted this large sprout to a big outside pot. Update 7/27/22: Well an update on the 5 seeds in a mason jar. 1 had become moldy so tossed it when the seed wasn't green any longer. There are four seeds left. Of the four seeds three have sprouted a root. Of those three seeds one already had a small stem about 1/4". See photo. The first seed that sprouted from this entire order currently has 3 leaves and is outside under an awning so it only gets direct early sunrise light. For the qty, price and very difficult germination in California (indoors without my seed starter setup) it is really meant for those that like a challenge and want this plant with paying $50 for a 4" pot. Here's my setup. Stayed in the mason jar with a little water. Stayed inside the bathroom. I didn't use a heat mat but I do have grow lights for plants in my bathroom. Changed the water from time to time with tap from the faucet. Wiped any mold/fungus from the seed and jar. A few times used hydrogen peroxide to quick clean both seed and jar. Here's the key to this seeds germination. Live your life and just check on it when you remember it. If it's green it's still viable. I haven't even checked the other one still in that rosemary container. I was happy with the first plant with three leaves. That third leaf took a while to come out.

Got extra's and almost all sprouted. One was even sprouted at time of arrival. Was packaged very nicely and appropriately. If anyone is contemplating this purchase, you will not regret it. They arrived very fast and ready to go. Seller takes the time to package them right. Mine are growing fast and looking great.Quality Seller. A+++ One Year Update: Out of 4 batches of 5 only one batch survived. Those were the ones we used only rainwater and few drops of Super Thrive on each month. I don't recommend fertilizer, tap, or bottled/distilled water. Avoid Miracle Grow soil, use organic non fertilized soil. For best results mist with rainwater daily. Also regular household lighting didn't do well. We use a standard grow bulb about 12 inches above pot. Keep it in the warmest part of the house and if they turn purple they are too cold. Another batch was doing good too until we moved it outside to the shaded porch, some direct sunlight hit it a few hours each day and they died. They do require daily or near daily care to keep them happy & healthy. Picture was taken today of my biggest & smallest living plants.

Based off the reviews that I read before buying these, I expected I’d get some pretty rough seeds; still I hoped for the best. My expectations were too generous. These seeds were wicked disgusting. They were totally molded over. They had layers of mold stuck to them. I was determined though. I cleaned them up a bit then soaked them in 3% hydrogen peroxide. I thought they looked stable. I thought I had salvaged them. I didn’t. I don’t have any that germinated and lived. I won’t recommend these to anyone.
