XVIM 3MP Light Bulb Security Camera, WiFi Home Light Bulb Camera, 360° Degree Pan/Tilt View Night Vision, Indoor/Outdoor, Motion Detection

I was really hesitant about this purchase. I read a lot of personal reviews that were horrible to wonderful. I want a device that will just record deliveries, visitors and any other anomalies that occur during the day & night time.I've only had this device a couple days and Im really impressed with it so far. The downloaded software has a variety of features to help create the ideal security setup for you. One cool setting setting is the "tripwire". I can set it (see pic 2) to where exactly it will start recording the moment someone enters that redline area. There is also two way audio communication that is really crisp & clear. For this price usually these things sound super muffled like youre talking thru a paper cup or listening thru an old drive-in theater car speaker! Audio is not an issue with this security bulb.Movement within the viewing screen is really simple. Just slide your finger in the direction you want to view. You can even zoom in and still retain good clarity. Storage: you can purchase a variety of cloud storage from within the application or you can purchase and Insert your own (up to128g) micro-SD card. I purchased a cheap $10 SD card to save data. Keep in mind that using the SD card option - your video & picture captures will only be saved until the SD card is full. Once full it will go back to the beginning and start recording over previous captures. There is a setting that you can chose so once the SD card is full it will stop recording onto that card. It will also save data to most viewing devices. For a fee there is a variety of cloud storage options that allows you to retain captures indefinitely.Lots of Pros (to manyto list) for this device.The only con I've run into so far - I had to trade my porch light for the security camera. If you have two lights or multiple lightbulb ports then this will probably not be a problem for you. I was told there is a way to easily use the LED white lights that are built into the camera that will give a nice soft porchlight. It's not really that big of a deal for me so I haven't looked into it. At least I know it's there when I want it, lol.Setup is incredibly easy. Just make sure bluetooth is enabled, & TURN OFF cellular connection. If this is enabled you will have difficulty connecting. With cellular off, scan the included UPC barcode & download the HoMeYe Pro app connect your devices to the same wifi & finish setup. You will hear verbal confirmation from the device as setup lrogresses. You can also download the app directly from Google play store. From the time I took it out of the box and completed the setup process was about 5 minutes!Well worth the price. I plan on getting more for my family members.***** FYI... The photo that shows the camera bulb connected into the porch outlet is missing the shroud only so I could show what the bulb looks like connected. The shroud is long enough to cover the top part of the camera bulb but short enough not to interfere with the camera angles and recordings. As expected, when putting the cover back on - I dropped it, lol. So.... can anyone recommend a nice porch light cover - that will work with security camera bulbs? 😆

The order arrived quickly and I immediately stopped what I was doing and got it set up; as I just had to know the ease of use and how well this new style of security camera works. After placing my order, the Support Team reached out ahead of time proactively to let me know that if I had any issues, I should not hesitate to reach out for assistance. That really hit home; as you just don't see that kind of proactive support assistance these days! Upon receiving the order, I took a break from what I was tinkering with and had the camera completely set up and fully operating in under 3 minutes. So easy my 5-year-old niece could do it without issue. I was extremely surprised at the clarity and live streaming quality; even when I was away on business just days after reciveing the device and having it configured so quickly. The controlling application for this security camera is simple, yet offers a wide range of options to fit your personal needs and data storage space. They do offer a cloud storage option as well as saving video to your mobile device. I was able to communicate with family members while I was out of town, which initially startled them, as I didn't make them aware of the little tech device I had just gotten..LOL. I wanted to put it to the test, so we had a good laugh at the whole thing. Again, super quick setup, super easy to use and you can set it to auto-scan the area where you install it, as well as have the motion detection active to pick up any movement. With the different options for motion and alert settings levels, it gives you the versatility that you want with the option not to be bombarded with 1000 notifications daily. You even have direct control over the volume of the two-way talkback built-in! All in all, a great product and a great addition to my home security that I can fire up and forget.... as it will do all the work from there (depending on the settings and configuration you choose). I would purchase this item again and I will definitely be letting my close friends know about this wonderful product. It has many uses [ baby monitor, keeping an eye on the kiddos, keeping an eye out on the workshop as well as adding another layer of security to your house or home ]. Who knows.... this may be what the extended family and parents get for Christmas this year. I know it would ease the minds of several family members right now and I will be sharing my experience with them when we next chat. A+

I am still learning as I've never had a security camera before. I have had this for about a few weeks and its good so far. Installed it into my porch light, easy enough, and I flip on the switch at night or when we leave the house and it connects & starts up. I didn't realize I had to purchase Cloud Storage if I want to save video history, but fine, I bought the 1 year package via PayPal, and it all shows up in Chinese so I accidentally hit the wrong thing and bought it twice, but that was easily corrected by PayPal. This camera also does NOT have the regular white LED lights around the camera, so I lost my "porch light" - instead this camera only has infrared light for night vision. I do have motion sensor spot lights above my garage so that helps with the lack of light on my porch at night, though I have to say I miss that light. Also I am still confused about the "motion tracking and human detection" settings as I thought it would track both. I see you have to pick one or the other, which seems strange. Right now I have it on motion detection because we get bears, coyotes, elk, etc. but my phone is alerting me to every tree branch and door wreath decoration that dare make a move. Also, there are small nubs on the bottom of my light fixture, they don't seem to really hinder the performance of the camera, but I wish the camera came down a little longer because they block the image I get occasionally when it tries to see straight out. I have an extender I tried to use, but camera would not connect with that in place. Regardless, it still casts a great view over my driveway and porch. So far the best feature has been the online support, I can message on facebook to XVIM Technical Support and someone is usually helping me right away. I see they are on sale now, I might purchase a second for another location.
